Chapter 104: I Want to See You

Lisa had only been away for two nights, but Irene was already so depressed and even suffered from insomnia. However, there was nothing that she could do about it.

Even though she tried sleeping by hugging Lisa's pillow, coat, or even her underwear, she was still unable to sleep the entire night. Therefore, Irene finally got up from her bed and went down to the kitchen to drink a glass of water. Her curiosity was piqued when she passed by the room that was always closed.

CL had once told her that the room was filled with Lisa's late mother's belongings after she passed away. Lisa had never allowed anyone into the room, perhaps because she did not want anyone to touch her mother's belongings.

Her curiosity got the better of her and Irene pushed the door open before turning on the lights.

The room was indeed filled with items that belonged to Lisa's mother. There were many of her photographs, all the jewelry that she used to own, and some of the items that she used when she was still alive.

Irene could not help but sigh at the thought of how hateful the Bae family's butler had been to Lisa when she came looking for her in the past as she had just lost her mother.

After looking through the items in the room, Irene was just about to turn off the lights when she suddenly spotted a wooden box that looked extremely familiar to her.

Irene walked towards the box and read the word that was engraved on the box.

Her.

Irene suddenly had a strong feeling that whatever was contained in the wooden box would be related to her. Therefore, she quickly placed the wooden box on the bed before opening it up.

As soon as she looked into the wooden box, she saw about ten or more smaller boxes inside the wooden box. They were gifts that she had never sent out.

One of the boxes contained a very old cell phone. As soon as Irene saw the cell phone, tears started welling up in her eyes because this was the cell phone that she had gifted Lisa for her eighteenth birthday when she was just fourteen years old.

The cell phone had certainly been used before. Irene quickly plugged in the charger and started charging the cell phone. She really wanted to find out how Lisa felt about her in the past.

Surprisingly, the cell phone could still be turned on although the brightness of the cell phone was extremely dim.

However, Irene was very disappointed upon discovering no content within the cell phone. It was only when she clicked into the outbox that she finally saw an undelivered message because the delivery had failed: 'I want to see you'.

The time of composition was late at night on her birthday ten years ago.

As soon as Irene read that sentence, tears started falling down her face.

"I want to see you too."

She picked up the wooden box and hugged it tightly, before she started laughing as her tears continued to fall. "Since these gifts are for me, I will keep them."

In order not to continue crying, Irene decided that she would open up all those gifts together with Lisa when she came home. After that, she would keep all of these antiques because they were precious to her.

When morning came the next day, it was already the third day after Irene made the agreement with Tae Hee. However, there was still no news from Tae Hee on the transfer of the shares and the remaining four hundred million dollars to her.

All that Irene received when she was having breakfast was a phone call from Tae Hee giving her more excuses and also a video of the lawyer preparing the share transfer for her. Tae Hee was lazy to continue the conversation and she was just about to hang up, but Irene was not going to let her off so easily.
