Chapter 52: Look at How Excited She Was

Sooyoung was speechless because she had not expected this kind of reaction from Irene.

"Mom, if there is nothing else, I will be going home first. I would like to go home and run through my script again. I will come back to have dinner with you another day. Auntie Song, I am leaving now. Have a good day." After that, Irene was about to get up but was immediately stopped by Tae Hee, who quickly grabbed hold of her arm.

"I simply asked you to come over to explore your options and meet someone new. Is that too much to ask for?"

"Mom, all I want to do right now is to focus on my career. I do not have time for anything else." Irene then broke free from Tae Hee's grasp and got up quickly before leaving the living room.

Tae Hee's expression changed immediately, but she quickly took the time to explain the situation to her friend. "She has quite a temper because I have spoilt her too much."

"It's alright...Irene is actually very likable. I understand that she must be still hurt from the annulment of her engagement with Nickhun. Therefore, it is inevitable for her to act that way," the other party quickly assured Tae Hee. "We will just leave the matters involving the children's relationship to fate."

Sooyoung sat at a corner of the living room with her lips pursed tightly together as she thought silently to herself. She could not believe that Irene would actually have the guts to audition for a role in the upcoming drama production by Ace Media. Such a role was one that even artistes with amazing acting skills could only dream off. What was wrong with Irene?

She then suddenly remembered that she had some contacts in Ace Media and since Irene wanted to audition for a role there, then she would definitely have to make her suffer.

Irene hastily left the mountain villa as Tae Hee made her very uncomfortable by trying to matchmake her with someone else. However, as soon as she arrived at the front door, she ran into the top notch actor, Min-ho.

He was very tall and thin and he was very well groomed. He had a very nice complexion and it looked as though his face was filled with collagen. Despite his good looks, he was not Irene's type at all.

"You...aren't you Irene?" Min-ho was dressed very casually and was holding onto his cap. When he saw that Irene was trying to avoid him, he subconsciously reached out his hand and tried to stop her. "Why are you running away from me?"

Irene avoided his hand and quickly opened her car door and got inside before he could stop her.

Min-ho stared at Irene as she drove away and he thought to himself, "This woman has a bit of a temper."

After Irene arrived back at the villa, she continued sitting in the driver's seat for a long time as she thought to herself. The more she was in touch with Tae Hee, the more disgusted she felt.

She was very clear about what Tae Hee meant by inviting her over to the mountain villa to meet with Auntie Song. Tae Hee was still trying to control her and to take charge of her marriage even to this day.

Irene was extremely disappointed in Tae Hee. She could not believe that there would be such a mother in this world.

Irene slowly sorted out her own emotions and finally decided that she should not be bothered with people who are irrelevant to her.

After that, Irene then entered the villa. Her mood was much better after she saw CL and ate the lunch that was already prepared for her. After lunch, Irene decided to call Loey again. "Brother...have you landed safely? Can I meet you later in the afternoon?"

"Let's just meet tonight," Loey replied. He sounded exhausted.

"Then tell me where we should meet up tonight. I will drive there later."
