Chapter 103: You Will Not Have a Good Ending

Early the next morning, Irene and Loey met up with the Manoban family lawyer, Lawyer Jeong, at the villa.

"You want to restart an investigation to find out the main reason behind the Bae family's sudden bankruptcy in the past? After determining the root cause, which is Miss Ava, you want to demand compensation for everything that she has done to the Bae family?" Lawyer Jeong asked Irene and Loey as he flipped through the evidence that they had submitted to him.

"I want to know if I am able to file a lawsuit against Miss Ava for embezzlement and I would like to know the chances of success for my case," Irene quickly replied.

Lawyer Jeong, who was slightly dark skinned and wore glasses, slowly pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose before looking at Irene and replying, "The case involving the Bae family's sudden bankruptcy had caused a huge sensation in Seoul City in the past. Everyone including the second young miss started looking for Tae Hee after she disappeared, but no one could locate her at that time. Who would have guessed that Tae Hee would actually return to Seoul City and roam around freely so many years later?"

"Did she really think that she could get away scot-free? Furthermore, second young miss was the one who had repaid the debt of eight hundred million dollars on behalf of the Bae family. "There is something else." Irene took out the written agreement that she had signed with Tae Hee that day. "If I were to expose the truth and file a lawsuit against Tae Hee in two days' time, will I be in breach of this contract?"

Lawyer Jeong looked at the document before asking Irene, "Has she fulfilled her part of the bargain?"

Irene shook her head and replied, "No. She has only banked in half of the amount to me."

"She would then be the one to breach the contract first," Lawyer Jeong replied. "Miss Bae, you can be rest assured. Since the second young miss has assigned this task to me, I will definitely win this case for you. However, I would like to inform you that if Miss Ava is convicted of embezzlement, she would be sentenced to a minimum of five years in prison as this involves a huge amount of money. Will you be able to accept that?"

"Isn't that what she deserves after everything that she has done? She has to accept the consequences and pay for her own greed," Irene replied firmly as she looked at the lawyer.

"Alright then, since I already know what your stand is, I can take my leave now. As soon as we have prepared all the necessary relevant information, we will then report the case to the police and carry out the relevant procedures."

Both Irene and Loey stood up together to see Lawyer Jeong off after their discussion. At this time, Loey suddenly received a phone call from the young paparazzo, informing him that someone had released news that Sooyoung had cervical cancer to X Society.

"Brother Loey, should we release this information? I feel as though we do not need to give any more attention to that kind of woman."
