Chapter 12 - Can You Repeat What You Just Said?

Irene was finally done dealing with Mrs. Kang who appeared to be a compulsive liar. She understood clearly that Nickhun and the famous actress, Sooyoung were the real perpetrators who had arranged everything behind the scenes. They were mad at her because they were now being judged and criticized by the public and therefore, they were trying to deal with her and push the blame back to her.

After successfully getting the truth out of Mrs. Kang, Irene finally left Seoul Medical Hospital. The reporters and paparazzi waiting outside have already watched the live broadcast and they knew everything that had taken place inside the ward. It turned out that Director Kang and his pregnant wife were the ones creating all the drama. Irene was the victim and she had been innocent from the start.

The truth had finally been revealed. Irene did not have an extramarital affair with that director.

Subsequently, the media began sorting out and dealing with the aftermath of Irene's scandal. The public was outraged at the events that had taken place. The entertainment industry was way too chaotic.

The root of this incident was Nickhun, the chairman of Manoban Enterprise. All this had happened just because he fell in love with another woman. Nickhun had planned everything and colluded with SM Entertainment to set Irene up, tarnishing her reputation and destroying her career prospects, just because he wanted to annul his engagement to her. He was really a scumbag.

The public also commented about how despicable Sooyoung was because she had already known that Nickhun was already engaged, and yet she still seduced and went after him.

Sooyoung also tried to threaten and coerce Irene into sacrificing herself, just so that she could protect her own reputation. Sooyoung's acting was really so incredible that it was no wonder she was one of the top actresses.

SM Entertainment was also depicted in a bad light for plotting against and sacrificing one of their own artists just for monetary gains.

Director Kang and his pregnant wife were also heavily criticized for creating false rumors and being overly dramatic.

"Miss Bae, would you like to express how you are feeling at the moment?"

"Miss Bae, is there anything that you would like to say to Chairman Manoban?"

The reporters started swarming around Irene, trying to get her comments but Irene merely put on her sunglasses and waved them away. "There is nothing much that I would like to say. He is a scumbag and she is a bitch; they are a pair made in heaven. So, I hope that they will get engaged as soon as possible instead of going around throwing their money to try and harm more innocent people."

The reporters wanted to get more information out of Irene, but she had already gotten into her car and drove away.

The twelve tall and muscular bodyguards who were standing nearby quickly ran up and held back the reporters, allowing Irene to make her smooth escape.

Irene knew that those bodyguards did not appear out of thin air. She was also clear that there were only two people who were capable of protecting her at the moment. The first one was her brother, Loey and the other person was none other than Lisa.

Obviously, this was the work of her god-like idol.

However, she did not know that her idol was not done yet, because Irene did not witness what was about to happen next.
