Chapter 6 - Having a Secret Affair is Not Acceptable

"So, that scumbag Nickhun is trying to set me up again?" Irene suddenly thought of what her former agent had told her over the phone previously. Nickhun wanted to set her up and use her scandal to divert the public's attention away from his upcoming engagement to the famous actress, Sooyoung.

"What do you plan to do then?"

"I will make an appointment and go for it," Irene replied coolly. "But brother, I would like to bring a paparazzo with me and I want him to be equipped with a miniature camera."

"Why would you want to do that? Aren't you going to be his second sister-in-law soon?" Loey asked sarcastically.

"Lisa and I are having a secret affair. Don't you know that a secret affair is not acceptable?" Irene said as she rolled her eyes. If she wanted it to sound good, she could say that she was his sister-in-law, but truthfully, she was just a mistress that Lisa was secretly having an affair with.

"At least you still know that what you are doing is not acceptable. Little Rene, it is not too late to back out of it now-"

"No, it is already too late," Irene replied in a serious tone. "Brother, hurry up and find me a paparazzi that would not stand out. I need to bring him with me along to the appointment. Let's see what that scumbag Nickhun is up to this time."

"I really do not know how else to deal with you," Loey said as he sighed helplessly before hanging up.

In fact, Irene was a smart person. She knew exactly why Lisa refused to believe her confession.

One of the key reasons was because she was Nickhun's fiancée and she had been engaged to him for so many years and yet, she had never once expressed any dissatisfaction or resistance towards their marriage.

She had her reasons for this. First of all, there were so many people who liked Lisa. She was only a nobody that Lisa would ever notice. If it was not for Lisa's phone call offering her sixty million dollars, she would never have dreamed of getting involved with Lisa in her entire lifetime. After all, she was just a nobody.

The second reason was because this marriage was arranged by her grandfather in the past. However, after the fall of the Bae family, Irene stopped bothering about the engagement because she knew that it was impossible for someone of her current status to marry into the Manoban family.

As she was thinking about all of this, Irene suddenly remembered that Lisa wanted her to provide her with evidence that she liked her.

"Ahh. Why can't she figure out what was going on in her mind?"

Irene was once again confused. What was Lisa's purpose in putting her up in her villa?

It was impossible for Lisa to like her anyway.

So, why was she thinking about this?

Irene laughed and then quickly got up from the sofa. She had to go and deal with that adulterous couple now. No, she had to find out what time Lisa was coming home tomorrow.

How could the adulterous couple be compared to her goddess-like woman?

Therefore, Irene made a phone call to Lisa before going out. She did not know why she was feeling so nervous that her hands were shaking uncontrollably.

"Hello?" Lisa's low voice could be heard on the other side of the line.

"That-I just wanted to ask what time you will be coming home tomorrow? Didn't you ask me to prepare evidence for you?"

"At... night."

Irene began to fantasize as soon as she heard the word 'at night'. She began fantasizing about how sexy Lisa's exposed clavicle looked when she had unbuttoned her shirt the other day.

"Okay then, I will be waiting for you. I need to head out now to settle some of my personal issues. I am hanging up now," Irene quickly hung up the call to prevent herself from fantasizing further.

When Lisa heard the beeping sound on the other side of the line, Lisa hung up the phone and then looked at his secretary. She said, "Send someone to follow Irene. Look after her and make sure she doesn't create any trouble."

"Understood."

In fact, what the principal meant was simple. Make sure you watch her closely and don't let her get involved with any complicated people.

After all, it was so difficult to find out Loey's identity. This proved that Loey was a very careful and vigilant person.

The afternoon sunshine was slightly glaring. Irene was wearing a full yellow suit and she had a pair of sunglasses on as she rode the scooter that Lisa had left behind for her to YG Media.

Irene met up with the young paparazzo that Loey had arranged for her. He was a young boy with long fringe and his eyes were very bright and alert. Irene was satisfied as he looked like he was a smart boy.

"When you go in later, you should pretend to be my assistant. You can focus on filming then secretly and do not forget to film what has to be shot."

"Miss Bae, after we are done here, can you please give me an autograph?" The young boy looked at Irene and smiled, revealing a set of nicely aligned teeth.

Irene immediately felt like taking back her words that he looked like a smart boy.

She was a second-rate artist who had already been blacklisted, so how much could her signature be worth now? Why did he still want her autograph?

"Alright then." Irene nodded, fulfilling the child's wishes.

After the both of them had agreed on their game plan, they got off the car and walked into YG Media together. When the receptionist saw them coming in, she quickly called the chairman's office to inform him of Irene's arrival.

After a short while, the secretary came down to lead Miss Bae into the small conference room. "Miss Bae, please have a seat first. Our chairman will be here shortly."

Irene tapped her long fingers on the conference table as she looked around the conference room. She was pretty certain that the chairman would not come alone later.

Sure enough, Irene heard the sound of a woman's high heels about ten minutes later.

"Miss Park, after you..." A thin young man followed behind her as she entered the conference room.

Irene turned around and immediately frowned when she saw the person who had just entered. "So, it's you."

It was none other than the woman that her former fiancé anxiously wanted to get engaged to. It was the famous actress, Sooyoung.

Sooyoung was wearing a black off-shoulder dress that showed off her sexy and feminine figure. She sat down directly opposite Irene and looked at her arrogantly. "It must have really been hard on you for the past few years, Irene. You knew that you are not worthy to be called his fiancée, and yet you insisted on being engaged to him. Now that the engagement had been called off, and you reluctantly left Nickhun, are you still daydreaming about marrying into the Manoban family?"

So direct? Was she trying to provoke her?

"Oh, is that right? Was this what Nickhun told you?" Irene asked indifferently. She wanted to know what was the other party's bottom line.

"Why would Nickhun be telling me about these unnecessary things? Who do you think you are?" Sooyoung rebuked. "Don't you know for yourself where you stand in the Manoban family?"

"I honestly do not know. What I know is that, even when I was still engaged to Nickhun, the both of you have been secretly going behind my back to commit adultery. What I do not know is of course the details of your sex life together with my former fiancé, because even I feel ashamed to bring that up. In order to stop having to have your secret affair, the both of you even set up a trap and framed me and the married director, just so Nickhun could annul our engagement just to be with you. So, tell me. What do you want me to do this time?" Irene asked coldly, refusing to admit defeat as she leaned against the back of her chair.

"It is your good fortune that you are able to be sacrificed for Nickhun and me." After she had spoken, Sooyoung turned around to look at the chairman. "Miss Bae, as long as you promise to give us some good material, I assure you that I will offer you a contract of employment with YG Media. After all, you know for yourself that there is no company who would be willing to sign you now, Irene."

"What kind of material are you expecting?" Irene asked as soon as she heard the chairman's words.

"Maybe you-you can spend the night with a dark-skinned man, or maybe you can do something else that would draw a lot of attention to yourself," Sooyoung said as she looked at Irene. "This is probably your only way out this time. If you do what we ask you to, at least you would still able to live your own life. However, if you refuse to compromise and give in to our request, then I suppose you understand what would happen to you once you have incurred Nickhun's wrath."

"Alright then, give me the contract," Irene said eagerly. She quickly took a pen and began writing, 'go screw yourself' on the contract. "Take it."
