Chapter 59: Steal The Limelight From Them

 "Thank you so much, uncle. I am really very grateful to you," Irene kept thanking Joon Gi, knowing very well that he was showing her so much care and concern only because of her relationship with Lisa. However, even if that was truly the reason, Joon Gi had already gone above and beyond what he had to do to support her.

After thanking Joon Gi repeatedly, Irene finally walked out of his office accompanied by Director Jung.

"I will start preparing your employment contract with Ace Media as soon as possible, but there are some things that I have to let you know beforehand. First of all, I want you to understand that I do not play favourites and I will not treat you any different just because of your relationship with the chairman. I believe that Chairman Lee has the same opinion on this matter too. You have a long and difficult journey ahead of you, so you should be thoroughly prepared for it," Director Jung informed Irene as he walked her back to the waiting room. "After you sign up as an artist with Ace Media, the company will not announce this matter to the media immediately. When the time is right, I will eventually arrange for an announcement to be made."

"I understand. Thank you, Director Jung," Irene replied as she nodded. "Director Jung, you can be rest assured that I will definitely appreciate this chance given to me and make the best out of it. If I did not have the determination to start over again, I would not have come here and embarrass myself in front of Chairman Lee."

"Alright. You can go home now. Your little assistant is already waiting for you," Director Jung replied as he patted Irene gently on her shoulder.

Irene smiled before leaving with the young paparazzo.

"Sister Irene, what was the final decision?" the young paparazzo quickly asked Irene as soon as they got into the car. He was so nervous that it seemed as if he was the one who had just gone through the audition.

"How could I let you down when you have so much faith in me?" Irene laughed.

"Yay!" The young paparazzo screamed happily as he jumped around in his seat.

Irene smiled as she looked at the young paparazzo who was so pure and genuinely happy for her, but as soon as she thought about Sooyoung who had tried to set her up and hurt her time and time again, the expression on her face hardened immediately.

Irene decided that she would just ignore Sooyoung and not waste anymore time dealing with her. After all, Sooyoung's wedding was just around the corner and when the time comes, Irene would finally be able to witness a grand show.

However, Irene had not expected Ace Media to issue an announcement in the afternoon informing the public that one of their employees had been expelled for revealing and exposing confidential information to the media.

Furthermore, there was news saying that it was in fact Sooyoung who had planned it and instigated the employee to release the news that Irene was attending an audition at Ace Media, with her only purpose being to make life difficult and cause further embarrassment to Irene.

In fact, many could see that the employee was constantly bragging about her close relationship with Sooyoung on her social platform.
