Chapter 32: You Knew That I Would Give Myself to You

Lisa and her friends had just come out of the National Defense office building. When Lisa received the call from Irene, her friends were just standing right next to her.

When Irene screamed into the phone, everyone around Lisa could faintly hear what she had just said.

The secretary coughed a little and quickly rushed to the front to open the door for Lisa.

"Text me the address of your location," Lisa hurriedly whispered before hanging up the phone. She then continued walking beside her friends.

"Lisa... do you already have a woman?" One of her friends who was about to get into her car, suddenly turned around and asked her. "Is it that woman who has your heart?"

"Yeah." Lisa replied as she nodded, not denying anything at all.

"Then I guess my sister is really completely out of the picture now. Bring her out to meet us one of these days." After that, Lisa's friend turned around and then got into her own car and left.

Lisa checked her cell phone before getting into the car before she instructed the driver to drive to the location where her little descendant was waiting for her.

"Remove the bodyguards later."

As soon as he heard Lisa's command, the secretary quickly waved his hand and said, "No, principal. Your safety is of utmost importance here."

"I will be responsible for my own safety."

Lisa's whereabouts had always been kept a secret and the group of bodyguards protecting her had never let her out of their sight before.

She had never thought that there was anything wrong with this arrangement before, but now, she found it rather inconvenient. Furthermore, she had to take care of her little descendant.

"Well then, I will get one of the more discreet bodyguard to be your driver today," the secretary quickly replied. "Principal, please do not refuse. This is the most compromise that I can give you today. Otherwise, I do not know how to answer to those with higher power."

Lisa nodded her head slightly. That was for the best.

She did not want an entire entourage following her as she wanted to be as discreet as possible around Irene. This was because she did not want Irene to become a target as she also had enemies of her own.

Irene waited for more than half an hour in a small back alley as she did not want to be recognized by anyone nearby. She was also afraid that if she was discovered, she would only bring more trouble to Lisa.

Irene's heartbeat started to accelerate as soon as she thought about the eight hundred million that Lisa had forked out to clear her debts. What should she say to her when she sees her later?

This woman had secretly done so much for her without expecting anything in return. Even if she were to give her everything that she had, it would not be enough.

A short while later, Lisa's black sedan stopped at the exit of the back alley. As soon as Irene saw the sight of the familiar car, she quickly got up from behind the potted plants and rushed forward to open the car door.

As soon as she entered the car and looked Lisa in the eyes, she felt as though she was about to melt away.

"Lisa..."

"We will talk more when we get home," Lisa said as she closed her eyes, reminding her that there were other people present in the car with them.

Irene knew that they needed to be discrete, but she still wanted to hold her hand.
