When I walked through the cafeteria, I noticed Ezra wasn't here. So I assumed he's in our normal spot outside.

I walk out and go the spot. It's a nice area not a lot of people know about it. It's just a bunch of trees on the side of the building, but it's very secluded and quiet.

He pulls out a pack of cigarettes as I sit on the grass in front of him.

I take one and place it between my lips and use my the lighter to light it. I inhale deeply and slowing blow it out.

"Have you heard?" I asked him while inhaling again.

"About?" He looks at me with a raised eyebrow.

"Talia is throwing a party and has basically invited the whole school" I explained to him.

"Oh that, yeah I heard something about a party as i walking here" he said exhaling "Didn't know who's party it was tho"

"Well, should we go? Might be fun" I said putting my cigarette out.

"Yeah, great way to start the summer off." Ezra said as he also put his cigarette out.

"Cool, I'll pick you up at, let's say 8pm?" I asked.

"Yeah that's fine, I'll get some drinks from my dad, he has plenty" Ezra replied while chuckling to himself.

Ezra's dad has always struggled with alcohol. He has been hospitalised many times as his liver kept giving out. He was warned that if he kept going the way he was, he'd need a liver transplant, and hospital bills are way to expensive so he's been trying to stop but he sometimes slips up. Over the years he's bought a lot of alcohol and it's sort of built up and just sits there.

So Ezra taking some won't be a problem, he probably won't even notice.

Ezra's mom left his dad about 5 years ago, when Ezra was 13. He never told me why she left but I know that, that's one of the reasons his dad started drinking.

"Okay cool dude, we can also stop somewhere and get more if need be." I replied to him.

He just nodded and let out a loud sigh.

I had one class left, well it wasn't really a class but it was tutoring with Mrs Adams.

She agreed to help me during her free periods.

Mrs Adams is such a nice teacher, if it wasn't for her I'd probably be failing english right now, she didn't have to do this for me but she does. It's nice knowing teachers actually care about our education.

Today was quite simple, we just went over a couple things I missed at the start of this year, but that's about it.

This day went so quick.

Me and Ezra walked out together towards my car and said bye to each other before he went to his car.

On my way home, I decided to take a small detour.
