For some reason I just couldn't get to sleep, I kept tossing and turning in Kai's bed trying to fall asleep but it just wasn't working.
"Lilith"
"Kai"
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah just can't sleep" maybe it's cause I've never stayed the night at his house, that would make sense
"Neither" I heard him turning around so I did the same.
His room is pitch black, expect for the slither of moonlight peeking through his curtains.
"Lilith"
"Yes"
"Wanna go for a drive?"
Yes. Absolutely yes. I love late night drives but no one ever wants to go with me.
"Sure" He got up from the bed and turned his bedside light on and went over to his wardrobe and came out a few minutes later wearing a black hoodie with a white hoodie and, I think, some pants in his hand.
Kai came back over to the bed and passed me the clothes in his hand "here put this on, it's cold outside" I sat up from the bed and quickly put everything on.
He grabbed his keys and phone and headed for his door, I followed after and we made our way downstairs. No one was home so we didn't have to worry about being quiet.
As soon as we got to his car, he turned the heating on and waited a bit for the car to warm up.
"Where are we going?" I asked
"You'll see" was all he said the whole journey to this mysterious place. The roads were silent, not a single car passed us.
The car came to a stop after about 10 minutes and we both got out. There was nothing around us but trees.
Am I going to die?
"Uh where are we?"
"You'll see in a second"
Why can't he just give me a straight answer?
He came up to me and grabbed ahold of my hand and started walking. We walked up to a small opening and went through.
In front of me was probably the most beautiful sight I've seen, well maybe second most beautiful thing. It was a view of the ocean.
