I was getting ready for the second day. At 5:00 a.m., I decided to help with the preparation of breakfast for the King and Prince. Chef Och taught me some basic meals, which I don't have to do because it's Chef Och's job to cook for the king and Prince. Every servant in the palace has a job to do, including me, the personal maid of Prince Augustus, who is a spy rather than a personal maid.

Maids placed the meals on the large dining table one at a time. The king and Prince descend after they have finished preparing everything.

"Good morning." King Lucien smiled. We all knelt and bowed our heads. "Gemma?"

"Yes, your Majesty?" I took a step forward.

"What are you doing standing there? Come sit with us and eat."

I wasn't expecting the king to invite me to breakfast. Eating with the king and Prince is a great honor, but I'm not a member of their family. I'm one of their servants as well. "Y-your Majesty ..."

"I'm sure you're starving by now," King Lucien said.

I turned my gaze towards Chef Och, who nodded and smiled at me. I approached the table slowly. One of the maids drew the chair, which made me feel even more embarrassed. King Lucien is in the middle. At the table, the Prince and I are facing each other. I cast a sly glance at the Prince. He did not respond to the king's greeting to me, nor did he grumble.

"Don't be shy, Gemma; eat up." King Lucien stated.

"T-Thank you, your majesty."

Apart from the sound of spoons and plates, there was nothing else to be heard around, so it was strange. I ate slowly, also couldn't move my body properly because I didn't want to break the silence, but the king broke it anyway.

"Your brother, Prince Emmanuel, is coming this weekend." King Lucien started.

Whoa! What? Prince Emmanuel Hearst Clemente was the first son of King Lucien Clemente and Queen Elbereth Hearst Clemente. Everyone in the world knows him; he's popular, particularly in southern Europe; he's currently in Spain; and now that he's returning, I'm sure all the girls will freak out, and I'm sure they'll all come here to the palace. If I were King Lucien, I would gather all the guards outside and increase the security level of the palace because I am sure many women would visit the Prince.

Prince Augustus bursts out laughing, which made us startled. "Isn't that a good thing? He's coming home, that bastard... finally."

"Young man, don't get too excited." King Lucien stated.

"You don't seem happy after he's been missing for almost two years," Prince Augustus smirked. "Yeah, Emmanuel is a bit of a pain, but admit it, father, you're both the same..." He rises from his seat at the table. "I'm full," he said, leaving us in this awkward situation.

After an awkward breakfast with the king and Prince Augustus earlier, I prepared my belongings for school, knowing that I couldn't be late this time.

"Gemma?" Mr. Osiris was astonished once he saw me waiting downstairs. "As far as I know, your class will be later at 11:00," he said in astonishment.

"Ah ... I don't want Prince Augustus to wait any longer," I replied.

Mr. Osiris laughs. "But it's too early for you to wait."

"It's fine."

"You know you're hilarious, Gemma." He gives me a pat on the back. "If that's what you want."

Every time someone came down the stairs, I stood in a chair; I mistook Prince Augustus as one of the guards several times. I've been waiting for over an hour, but the Prince does not arrive until 11:30. Our class begins at noon, so we should have left by now.
