Lincoln was a big help in keeping an eye on Prince Augustus while I was in the music studio preparing for the upcoming event next month. He did this for two weeks, and when I asked him why he was helping me, Lincoln's only response was, "YOU LOOK LIKE A FOOL WAITING HERE." I'm not sure whether I'll be happy or annoyed, but because of that, Lincoln became my friend, my first close friend in Borstal.

"Can you please go to the music studio? Stop asking nonsense questions!" Lincoln said, obviously pissed off.

"I'm not going to stop until you tell me what's up with you and Prince Augustus," I said, teasing grin. "Do you like him? Don't worry. I won't judge you."

"I like him a lot..." my eyes almost widened when he said that. "Because he's my best friend, OKAY?" he clarified.

"Don't deny it; I can see it in your eyes." I pointed to Lincoln's eyes. "That you like him as in like, not just as a friend," I joked.

"Gemma, I'm straight." He turned around, was about to leave when I blocked him. "WHAT?" he asked with a creased brow.

"Are you upset? Sorry, I was just joking." I apologized.

Lincoln burst out laughing. "What's up with that expression?" He gives me a pat on the back of the head. "I'm not upset. I'll just go to the cafeteria to get some food."

I sighed in relief. "You make me nervous for a split second. I thought I had offended you; your face became enraged." I pushed him up to the cafeteria. "You can eat as much as you want. I'll keep an eye on the prince today."

"Huh? But what about your practice?" he asked.

"Right now, we don't have a practice."

Lincoln grabbed my arm as I was about to go back to the prince's private room.

What?"

"Can you not watch him today? Let's grab some food?"

I released his grip on my arm. "Sorry, let's grab some food next time. I have to return to Prince Augustus." I walked out of the cafeteria while waving both of my hands.

I could hear someone talking as I got closer to the prince's private room. I hustled. I was afraid he would tell the king that I wasn't there, but I came to a halt once I saw Raeanna; they had met. Raeanna? What exactly is she doing here?

"Cynfael, C-Cynfael, C..." Raeanna was clutching Prince Augustus's arm.

"What in the world are you doing here?"

"How have you been? It's been a year, Prince Cynfael." Raeanna's eyes welled up with tears. "I've been thinking about you a lot... I'm sorry, Cynfael, I'm sorry, I know I don't have..."

"Get off of me." Prince Augustus released Raeanna's grip on his arm. The prince would have turned his back on Raeanna when she grabbed Prince Cynfael's arm again.

"You had every right to be angry at me, to despise me, but please, please! Let me be with you even today b-before I come back to Scotland, please..." Raeanna kneeled next to the prince, which shocked me.

"Raeanna..." My heart ached as I watched Raeanna slowly kneel in front of the prince.

"I know it's selfish, but if I tell you to give me this day, I'll stop, I won't climb the fence just to get into Borstal, I won't hide behind a bleacher just to watch you play football, you won't see..."

"Quit the drama, Raeanna," Prince Augustus said as he took Raeanna's hand away from him. "I'm not interested in hearing your excuses. Okay? I'm tired. Would you please stop acting like you're innocent because you're not? "
