In case of Antonio trying something again at Lunch and Dinner, Minnie told me I'd do different jobs today, rather than serving. I was a little embarrassed she saw that, although it wasn't my fault. I looked vulnerable, and that's certainly not what I wanted to look like my first time working.

She sent me off to go and clean a couple of bedrooms on the first and second floors, explaining to me how to make the beds so they all look neat. The thought of the man at breakfast didn't go away, so I was stuck with them for the rest of the day but I went straight to the work, carrying the equipment up to the first floor, in the hope that the thoughts would go away. I previously had a cleaning job on weekends before working at The Coffee Joint, so I know how to make sure things are as clean as they can be.

I didn't know whose rooms these were, but a lot of them were quite messy. I consider the thought that the people who work here, in the mafia, probably have a lot to do daily. Even still, they could put some effort in. At the very least.

However, when I got to one of the rooms on the second floor, I noticed it was actually really clean. A break from all the rooms that looked like they'd been blown up. I still make sure to clean the room though, in case there is something untidy for me to clean. Plus, I might as well use my time. As I'm walking towards the door to leave the room after checking everything that could be cleaned, it swings open and someone rushes into the room. I gasp slightly as they stop in their tracks, looking at me.

"Oh shit, hi!" It's a boy, probably around the age of eighteen, he looks it. His expression is cheerful, and it brings me to think about what he does here since he looks so young.

"Um- hi," I respond, putting on a nervous smile. I guess this is his room, so I look away and head for the door, but he stops me by putting his hand in my way. He stares down at me, and I notice he's slightly taller than me. A confused look replaces his previous cheerful one. What now?

"Are you new? I've not seen you around like ever, and trust me, I know every bloody maid in this house because I see them every day." He says, raising an eyebrow at his question. I've seen that before.

"Yeah, yeah I'm new," I tell him, but he doesn't move his hand yet. All I want is to leave and avoid any small talk. I'm not in the mood for it after my treacherous morning.

"I'm Simon, nice to meet you! What's your name?" He questions me. Simon seems excited and giddy, just like a child. Nothing like the men I took in at breakfast before. This guy looks like he's in the completely wrong place.

I smile at him, accepting that the small talk is in fact going to happen. "My name's Elodie, nice to meet you too-?" I reply, and his mouth opens in shock. He laughs and then points to me.

"Wait, hold up you're the girl my sister bought at that bidding, aren't you? I heard how much she paid for you and shit. I bet if I was kidnapped and the price for getting me back was twenty-five million, she wouldn't pay a single penny for me. I overheard her talking with someone about having trouble with you yesterday 'cause you freaked out and everything." Well, you could put it that way I guess.
