Early chapter?

I think so.

This is it.

The day I've been preparing for. The day that is going to play out just like I expect. Just less than twenty-four hours away now.

I've been racked with nerves since I woke up at six o'clock this morning.

We aren't leaving until ten o'clock, sharp. I could have had an extra two hours of sleep, but I woke up on accident just before six and I haven't been able to shut my eyes and drift off since. I'm so fucking nervous already.

When I figured I wouldn't get any more sleep, I pulled myself out of bed to check I had everything packed. I triple-checked. Hopefully, nothing has been missed and I'm good to go.

I'm currently applying some of my most important skin care products in front of my bathroom mirror. There is a towel wrapped around my body, stopping at my thighs, tucked into where it covers my bare chest. My hair is wrapped in a small towel, drying off a little before I handle it with a hairdryer.

I started with a shower to clear some of my thoughts and relax the nerves threatening to show in my appearance. Looking at myself in the reflection, I think it worked well. There are three hours until I leave, and I still feel like I have so much to do.

At least packing is out of the way, otherwise, I would be in the middle of a meltdown.

I finish off with some moisturizer, placing my products away and spinning around to the wardrobe where I keep my hair dryer.

For the next twenty minutes, I dry my hair until there's not much of it left damp. I like to leave some of it damp when I have the time so I don't use so much heat to finish drying.

Now that my skincare has had some time to settle, I reach over to the makeup I laid out across my counter.

Of course, I won't be applying much for the travel to Italy. Harlow made it clear that today I have nothing to worry about. When we get to the cabin, I'll get settled and I have the whole day free, aside from some talk I'll be required to listen to about the attack tomorrow.

I pick up my concealer stick, applying the concealer to places I need it most. Under my eyes, my chin, and dots of it in other places on my face. Using my nude beauty blender sponge, I blend the concealer out. I apply a little bit of bronzer, and only a small amount of blush, and then I press in my powder.

Rather than adding some mascara today, I settle on curling my eyelashes and leave it at that.

Then, I head out of the bathroom and to my wardrobe, holding my already picked-out clothes for today. Last night, I ended up taking far too long to pick what to wear, so I went with something comfortable, but not too comfortable.

I take out the black pants and beige knitted sweater I chose, along with the new black boots I recently bought.

I chose the outfit so I didn't look too comfortable, taking in mind that I'd be around seriously big mafia people, whom I do not want to be looked down on. Plus, I thought being too comfortable while everyone else wasn't dressed the same would attract unwanted attention from everyone else.
