Chapter 15

Kalen's POV

This meeting is taking goddamn forever. I keep on glancing at my wrist watch as if I am waiting for something. And then I remember Axl's face and the scene earlier, I cant help but smile to myself after remembering how I kissed him. I dont care if someone calls me clingy but just the thought of his face makes me wanna leave this meeting so I could go back to my office and hug my boyfriend.

Damn. Even the word "boyfriend" felt surreal.

I shrugged and tried to focus my mind on what's this meeting is all about. My eyes settled on Wei Shin, he sits at the left side corner of the long table, tapping it and making a light sound. Hindi siya nakatingin sa nagsasalita sa harapan at tila walang pakialam sa mga ito.

"Let's not beat around the bush. Mr. Wei Shin, why do you want to invest in my company? Your business is chains of hotels, isn't it weird that you want to enter the cruise line?"

Natahimik ang mga nagsasalita at naghihintay sa pagsagot ni Wei Shin. Inayos nito ang suot na salamin at saka humarap sa akin ng bahagyang nakangiti.

"Suǒyǐ zhè shì fútè xiānshēng, měi gèrén dōu zài tánlùn nǐ, nǐ zhīdào ma?"
(So this is Mr. Ford, everyone is talking about you, are you aware of that?)

I leaned at my chair and stared at him. I smirked when he looked away, avoiding to meet my eyes.

"You heard about me, huh?" I said while still looking at him. I heard him cleared his throat before facing me again.

"Your company reached my curiosity Mr. Ford. How come you became the top leading cruise line here and in other part of the world even if you have no investor and shareholders?"

Its true, I can sense a glint of curiosity and also, it is visible in his eyes. I tried not to laugh about it while fixing my tie, loosing it a bit. I glance at him only to see his amused face.

"Actually, I had one. I don't really trust that man though, so I am glad that finally, he's out of my sight. Out of my company."

Nangunot ang noo ni Shin at tila inaabsorba pa ang mga sinasabi ko. But he's not that good at hiding his true personality and that gives me an idea to just messed around a little bit.

" You don't trust him? Then why did you let him in to your company?"

Seems like Shin is eaten by his own curiosity. I glanced at my secretary and he instantly know what to do. Magalang na ipinaalam ni Sei na gusto kong makausap ng masinsinan si Shin kaya't lumabas muna ang iba pang narito sa silid. They all nodded and quickly grab their things and storm out of the room.

Nang kaming dalawa na lang ay doon pa lang ako tumayo sa kinauupuan ko at uminat sa harap ni Shin. My back hurts just from sitting for about an hour listening to whatever they are discussing.

"Keep your enemies closer."

Tumingin siya sa akin at hinihintay ang iba ko pang sasabihin.

"Never thought that you're that dumb, Wei Shin."

Bahagyang natigilan si Shin ngunit ngumiti rin sa huli. Ahh, at last, the show is over. Inayos niya ang buhok at tumayo rin ngunit hindi umalis sa pwesto niya. Kalmadong tumingin siya sa akin at kapagkuwan ay ngumiti.

"What do you want?"

I dont mean to be rude but I really dont want someone wasting my time. Especially now that I have someone waiting for me at my office and Im more than willing to waste every second of my time for him.

Damn, whipped.

"Chill man. Its true that you caught our attention, especially my father. He said that if we can get partners with you, it'll help our business and that also benefits your company."
