Chapter 21

Kalen's POV

Jaren sat beside me and lit a cigarette. He's only smoking whenever he is stressed out and this is one of those situation.

"We're going back. They're on the move and it seems that they are now going bolder."

He only looked at me and nod. Alam kong naiintindihan niyang kailangan naming bumalik kahit pa tutol siya dahil sa kalagayan ni Nyx. We're not even safe, kahit saan pa kami magpunta.

"I'll tell Chief. Just let Nyx rest for a while, youre not thinking of leaving today, right?"

No. I want Axl to take his time, I want to make sure he really wants to go back. We cant force him especially we know that Philippines make a huge impact on him, even gave him a trauma. I cant risk his mental stability on that.

We both fell on silence 'til we heard someone open a door. I saw Axl walking out of his room, his hair is still wet and the towel he used to dry it is hanging from his shoulder. Our eyes met but he suddenly look away, slightly blushing.

Mabilis ko siyang sinundan ng makita kong dumiretso ito sa kusina. Nakatalikod ito ng madatnan ko at nagsasalin ng tubig sa baso.

"You should've inform me  that you'll take a shower."

He immediately look at me with eyes wide open.

"What the fuck Kalen!"

I chuckled as I walked towards him, leaning on the table. He looks so cute with his uncombed hair. Mukha talaga siyang babae sa mahabang buhok at kung aayusan pa ito at lalagyan ng make up ay siguradong mapagkakamalan na itong tunay na babae.

"May nakapaagsabi na ba sayong mukha kang babae?"

Kumunot pa muna ang noo niya sa naging tanong ko ngunit agad din iyong napalitan ng matamis na ngiti.

"Some of my classmates from college told me that i look like a girl. Even my mom told me so."

Napansin kong may tubig pa ding tumutulo galing sa buhok niya kaya naman kinuha ko ang towel at sinimulang punasan iyon. He leaned his back at my chest while I'm still drying his hair. I noticed that he closed his eyes so I asked him if he was sleepy and he just hummed in response.

After making sure that his hair is dry, I carried him bridal style. Wala naman akong narinig na pagtutol mula sa kaniya kaya dumiretso na ako patungo sa silid niya. I placed and tucked him under the sheets of his bed and kissed his eyes closed. Mukhang antok na antok na nga siya kaya't aalis na dapat ako ng hawakan niya ang kamay ko at bumubulong ngunit wala akong maintindihan.

"Take a rest, Love. I'll also take a nap in my room"

"You can rest here if you want"

He said, eyes closed. There's nothing wrong in taking a nap, right?

Axl gives a little space for me to lay and scoots closer when Im finally under the sheets. I smiled at the little gestures he's making. It makes my heart warm. Hindi rin nagtagal ay nakatulog ako habang kayakap ang taong mahal ko.

Axl's POV

I  was the one who woke up first. Hihikab hikab akong tumingin sa paligid hanggang sa dumapo ang tingin ko sa taong katabi ko ngayon.

Ahhh, ako nga pala ang nagsabing dito na lang siya magpahinga.

I stared at him and for the love of God, how can this man be so gorgeous? It should be a crime having this kind of face.

I shifted my gaze in his lips and flashbacks of what happened earlier haunts me. Just by looking at his lips sends a thousand butterflies inside my stomach. His lips on mine makes me wanna cry for how soft it felt.
