Jason Davis, Jr has led an interesting life. At a young age, he met three figures who would shape his existence, whether he knows it or not: Belfast, Amagi, and their Commander. Jason fell in love with Belfast, and learned Irish to impress her, as he heard the Commander talk about her namesake in passing. However, these feelings didn't last long.

Not because Belfast wasn't interested, but because Jason would soon lock these memories away because of his trauma. The trauma of losing his parents.

Jason lost his parents to a Siren attack on the west coast of America in 1926, just a few weeks before the Sirens left, ending the Siren War. Orphaned at 7, he moved around a lot, ending up on the streets of Los Angeles by age 18. Around that time, Admiral Hirata Sakaguchi, the first woman to hold admiralty in US history, found the homeless young man and invited him to join the Navy. He accepted, needing something to fill the void in his heart left by his parents.

Pushing up the social latter, he was tested against some fellow candidates, all at the top of the field, for the chance of being the next Commander of the Azur Lane. These tests were proctored by USS Enterprise, a girl known for her craftiness and reliability. At the end of the day, it was Jason himself who rose to the call and became the new Commander.

Not even two weeks after becoming Commander, the Pearl Harbor Base was attacked by the Azur Lane's former allies, the Crimson Axis' Sakura Empire. A lucky shot from his sniper rifle ended within IJN Kaga's neck, forcing the fleet to retreat, but not before Yosuke Yuuki, Commander of the Sakura Empire, challenged the novice Commander with the Declaration of War.

Forging bonds with the Eagle Union leaders, Royal Navy heads, and Z23, the next few months were about recovery and reconnaissance. Jason eventually made a meeting with the previous Commander, and Hernandez wanted peace. The older Commander proving his innocence, Jason made (undesired) contact with the Siren who controlled Hernandez, Observer Alpha. Jason just barely escaped with a spoil of war, the Black Wisdom Cube (one that was intended for the Sakura Empire). With contact, the Black Wisdom Cube revealed to the Commander the past, and a name. "Howell Davis."

Belfast's emotions become obvious to the Commander's War Council as he discovered his weapons have been improved by the Black Wisdom Cube. As he embraced his Lieutenant Commander, a vivid memory of the past plays, giving us a glimpse into the legend of Davis and Roberts.

As for what the Commander may encounter, the Battle of the Coral Sea off the coast of Australia and the Battle of Midway quickly approaches him. But... will everything play out as reality dictates? Will Yorktown fall with the First Carrier Division, or is there something more at play here?

And what about that vision? What does that Heather woman do, where is she now, and how does this affect Roberts, if it does at all? And what does this all mean for Jason?

Starting tomorrow, at 4 P.M. EST, these truths will be revealed.
