June 3, 1942
Because of the Constitution's slow speed compared to the rest of the fleet, Ray, alongside Hornet and Enterprise and their team, have just arrived today. I gathered the major people here, alongside calling up Nimitz, to begin the operation.
"So, any questions?"
I'll save you the hour I spent explaining this, but it's basically:
1) Everybody will be spread out, hiding within the archipelago and surrounding cloud cover, to lure the Japanese into a false sense of security
2) Once right where we want them, send in the shells
3) Ally Spitfire Raid, inbound!
4) Surround them while being bombarded
5) Hey, enemy Commander/Admiral/[Rank], that's a nice little head you got there. Be a shame if I popped it like the large cist it is with this .30-06 going at terminal.
6) Vico-tory
Ingenious, I know. Of course, I explained it more eloquently than the 6-step plan marked above, but the idea still stands.
Belfast: "Yes, so what's with the bite mark on-"
"So, any questions related to the operation?"
Nimitz, over the phone: "Yes. In the event when they see through your rouse, what will you do?"
"A good Commander is prepared for any situation, regardless of how dire it is. Should that happen, we call everyone in the rafters and overwhelm them with sheer numbers and volume of fire. Classic bum-rush technique. Should that not work, or should the unexpected happen, I'll deploy myself to the frontlines and see what happens."
Everyone looks at me like I'm insane (I am).
Belfast: "That's a suicide mission!"
Hirata: "On brand for Jason, though."
"If it is God's plan for me to die, I'd rather go out in a blaze of glory than die in some stupid shelter." I feel like I've said this before. "What we should be more worried about is their fleet size. The Air Force are preparing to go in the air due to a belief that we found the main force, but I fear that the size of this 'force' is too small..."
--
While the Commander was talking about the attack, 9 Boeing B-17 "Flying Fortresses" take to the skies, aiming to bomb the mentioned fleet that was spotted an hour or so ago.
Watching the planes take of (via a screen) is none other than Observer Alpha, witnessing the American's attempt at not dying and smirking all the while.
Alpha: "The day is almost here..."
She turns around and addresses her fleet, consisting of many Sirens locked and loaded for war. A Strategist, of the Queen class of carriers, approaches the head Siren. Her American accent is due to her, and her class, being based on CV-1 Langley, the Lexington-class CVs, and CV-4 Rangers.
Strategist: "Status report: the fleet is primed and ready for launch. Request: relevant data for the upcoming mission for best results."
Alpha: "Request granted. Use Terminal 12, port 223. Code 7C556B318CADC622350A23BFD3A7EC9E."
Strategist nods and walks over to a terminal to begin the download.
Alpha: "Oceana 02700841, report on Project OROCHI!"
Oceana is a Bishops-class heavy cruiser, who are based on the Russian subclass of the Admiral Hipper class, Tallinn.
Oceana: "Orochi is currently on the move with that man Yuuki on board. It is still missing one BWC, but it is running approximately 115.384615 repeating % more efficiently than projected. Running at 105% energy efficiency with nuclear silos installed with 4 American LGM-118A Peacekeeper Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles fitted with 10 W-87 thermonuclear missile warheads each, and one loaded with half the payload, Командир."
