Family BBQ part 1

Luca meets a pediatric oncology nurse named Rosalie. They have been together for a coupl months and only street has meet her so hondo tells him to invite her to the cook out. Scene will start with the cookout.

Luca pov

I texted Rosie and gave her hondos address she had to go to work for a meeting about a pt and then would be over. I pulled up at his house by me self since street was hanging out with Chris she opted to bring him. I'm pretty sure something is going on with them but I'm not sure. I get out and walk out back where everyone is at.
H: hey Luca where's your girl at?
L: he man she's gonna come had a meeting at work to deal with.
T: on a Saturday?
L: yes on a Saturday.

I grab a beer and sit at the table. I listen to the team talk and look at my phone. An hour passed and she's still not here. Tan walks over and claps me on my shoulder.
T: are we sure she's even real?
Bonnie hits his arm
B: leave him alone
Just then my phone buzzes it's a text from Rosie saying pulling in. I get up and walk out front and greet her.
R: sorry I'm late I got stuck in the meeting.
She leans up and kisses me.
L: it's ok I can't wait for you to meet everyone.
I grab her hand and lead her to the back yard. We walk through the gate and everyone turns to us.
L: guys this is Rosie. Rosie this is everyone
She smiles and waves.
T: so you are real.
Bonnie smacks him upside his head and look at her
B: you will have to ignore him he's a idiot. It's nice to finally meet you Luca talks about you all the time.
R: all good things I hope. And it's nice to meet all of you. He talks about all of you as well.
Rose sits down and I go and grab her a water. I hand it to her and she smiles up at me. I sit next to her and wrap my arm around her shoulder.
H: so Luca said you had a meeting today but didn't say what you did.
R: right. So I'm a pediatric oncology nurse so I take care of kids that's have cancer.
H: man I thought our job was rough but that's got to do a number
R: yeah it's tough sometimes but everyday I'm there when I'm in one of the kids rooms and I get them to laugh or even smile a little thats all that matters. If I can make them forget that even for a min that they aren't in a hospital or they they have cancer and they can just be a kid that's what I want.
D: doing gods work. I can say that because I could never do it. The thought of one of my kids being sick.
Deecan trails off and shakes his head.
R: that's right Dom told me you had kids. Like 4 of them right.
D: yeah we got 4. Some of my favorite people ever.
A: well I sure hope so there a handful
Rosie smiles and leans into my side. I kiss the top of her head.
C: so we wanna know how did you and Luca meet
She smiled really big.
R: well i was running a little late for work and and by a little I mean I over slept and had like 10 mins to make it to work.
T: let me guess you were speeding and he pulled you over
R: no actually. I stopped to grab a coffee and as I was leaving the shop I ran straight into d and dropped my coffee.
L: so I bought her a new coffee and asked for her number. It just happened to be the best coffee of my life.
