Season 5 ep 2

This is gonna be between street and Chris. At the end of the episode when hondo comes back I know they are happy to have them back but also upset because they are now on the same team and street won't be able to ask her out.

Chris pov
"Ok guys I got you new assignments" deecan says. I'm looking at the ground. I don't want the team to be split up but at the same time it will be good to have a change. Maybe give me and street a chance. I'm lost in thought when I hear "hondo" from tan. I look up as he walks in. My face falls for a split second as I make eye contact with street and then I put a smile on my face.

Deecan pov
Hondo walks back in but I can't help but notice the way street and Chris face falls when they look at each other before they force a smile. I'll have to talk to her.

Chris pov
We finish up shift and head to the locker room to get ready to head home. "Ok so party at my place tonight to welcome hondo back and the fact the team gets to stay together" Luca says. Everyone chimes in that they will be there and Luca turns to me. "Actually I think I want to go home. I miss my bed" I tell him. "Oh come on Chris just for a little bit at least stop by for some food. I won't make you stay long" luca says. I nod my head in agreement. "Ok great see you all there in an hour" he says. I finish packing my stuff and deecan walks over to me. "How about I drop you off at your place so you can change and shower and get your jeep" deecan says. "Thank you" I say. Deecan picks up my bags wrap his arm around my shoulder and walks me out to his car. "So tell me how was Germany. I didn't hear from you much" he ask. "It was great sorry for not talking to you as much" I say. "No need to apologize I'm glad you had fun." He says. We reach his car and he open the door for me and I get in. He tosses my bags in the back seat and gets into the car. "So" he says. "So what" I ask. "I seen the way you looked when hondo came in. I though you would be excited to not have to switch teams" he says. "I am and I'm glad hondos back it's just.." I say and trail off. "Just what? Chris you know you can tell me anything and I'm not gonna judge you or love you any less" he says. "It's street" I say. He stays quite and waits for me to continue. "It's just. I like him a lot and we said we were gonna figure out what ever this was between us and then I went off to Germany and we didn't get to talk and then I come back and we can't be together on the same team and I told him if we ended up on different teams he could take me out on a date and I was kinda excited for it but now we're both still on 20 David which I'm excited about cause we all get to stay together but I guess I'm also a little bummed" I say. We are pulling up to my apartment and deecan parks the car. "Go on a date with him" deecan tells me. "Deec where you not listening we're still on the same team there's rules against that." I say and he cuts me off "no there's rules about dating a superior. Your not his superior and I don't see an issue with anything as long as it stays professional at work" he says. "But what about everyone else what.." I say. "Who cares what anyone else thinks. If you like him as much as you say you do then go for it and I'll take care of anyone who thinks anything less of you because your dating a male cop" he says. I smile at him. "Thanks deecan" I say and kiss his cheek. "Anything for my girl" he says. "Do you want me to swing by and pick you up or are you going to drive" he ask. "I'll drive and meet you there" I say. "Ok bye Chris and don't over think this just follow your heart" he says. I get out of the car and head inside with my stuff. It's nice to be home. I unpack and my bags and get in the shower. Once I'm shower I change clothes and grab my keys to head over to street and Luca's.

At Lucas and streets for dinner.

Street pov
I help Luca finish setting up and go hop in the shower. I put on a shirt and a pair of sweats. I walk back into the living room and every one is there except Chris. "Well look who finally decided to join" tan says. The guys laugh. "Hey where's Chris" I say that just as the front door opens. "Right here sorry I'm late" she says. "Nah no worries I'm glad everyone is here so food in the kitchen and beer in the fridge let's eat" Luca says. Everyone starts to get up to make their plates. Chris walks over to me and says "can we talk outback" I nod my head and follow her outback to the picnic table. We sit. "Saturday at 5" she says. I just look at her. "Pick me up and we can go on one of those dates"  she says. I smile at her "really are you sure we're gonna be on the same team and I don't want to start anything that we can't finish" I say. She takes my hands in hers and smile up at me. "I'm done running. I want this I do but we have to go slow and no pda at work. We stay professional so they won't have a reason to make one of us leave 20 David. I want to be with you Jim" she says. "Can I" I ask. She nods her head and I lean down and kiss her. She kisses me back. I pull away from her and lean my forehead against hers. "That's my boy" Luca yells followed by tans wolf whistle. Chris flips them both off and I pull her into another kiss.
