Season 5 ep 19

Chris pov

I pull up at Lucas and streets house and get out. I hope he has made it back home. I walk up to the door and knock. After a couple times there is no answer so I turn to leave. "Chris?" I hear and see Jim walking up the path to the door. "Oh hey."I say. "What are you doing here. Are you ok". He ask. "Yeah I'm fine. Just needed to talk to you" I say as he walks up and unlocks the door and opens it for me. I walk in and stand in the living room while he puts his bag and helmet away. "So you want to talk about what" he ask. "Did you get the fight attendant home ok" I ask. "Chris I know you didn't come all the way over here to ask about her. What's really going on" he ask.

I take a deep breath. "Honestly, I don't know. I know when we say that your plane got hijacked all I could think about was our last conversation and how we haven't worked anything out. And how.." I trail off and look at the ground. He walks up to me. "how what?"he ask. "How I have t said how I really feel. How scared I was that I would never get to see you again. To see you smile or hear you laugh. About how I wouldn't be ab,e to go on if you weren't here. What's going on between us is messy and complicated but today out everything into perspective." I pause and look up at him. " Jim I can't be without you. The thought of you not being here I can't imagine my life without you. So let's try it. Go on a date take things slow and keep it between us for now until we can figure out what to tell hicks and everything" I say. He smiles at me. "well since no one is here can I kiss you" he ask. I nod my head. He smiles at me again and cups my reach with both his hands and leans down to press a kiss to my lips. It's soft and gentle. I wrap my hands around the back of his head and play with the baby hair at the nape of his neck. He pulls way and rest his forehead against mine. "man I could do this all day" he says and goes in for another kiss.

I don't know what my future hold but I do know that what ever happens everything will be ok and work out as long as I have Jim by my side. It's taken me a while to realize that I don't want a life that he's not in and I will do everything in my power to keep it that way. Hopefully hicks isn't mad about it and let's us stay in the same team, but when the time comes we will figure it out.
