You know that saying float like a butterfly sting like a bee. Well that explains Chris to a tee. She is graceful on her feet yet can pack a punch that will know a grown man to the ground. And right now Luca is taking the brunt of it. He asked her to spar with him and he is losing badly. One thing is for sure you never underestimate Chris. I am lost in thought when I hear
T: you know you keep staring at her like that and she will come down here and lay you out.
S: huh I wasn't staring
I turn and look at tan.
T: yeah ok sure you weren't
D: what was he not doing
T: he says he wasn't staring at Chris
H: sure you weren't kid
I turn away from them in time to see Chris take Luca down and him tap out
C: giving up already old man
L: yeah I'm not young like you
Luca lays on the floor for a little longer before he gets up. He reaches over and ruffles Chris hair who shoved him in his side. Chris walks up to the ropes
C: so who's next
D: I'll put some gloves on if you want to throw some punches but I ain't sparing against you. You might just kill me
C: you deec never but yes if you don't mind
Deacon grabs the gloves and joins Chris.
L: so your staring again
S: no I'm not
In reality I was. I know I'm not supposed to but I just can't help it. Hicks says we can be together and on the same team as long as we keep it professional at work and we do. Well she does I do for the most part but I can't help but stare at her. She's just so breathtaking. If you would have told me 4 years ago that I would meet the love of my life my soul mate I would of laughed at you but then I walked in HQ that day and she was there. I remember she told me she liked dogs not dawgs. I laugh a little and tan turns to me.
T: what's funny
S: nothin
I shake my head as tan yells at Chris
T: hey Chris I think your boy toy is broken
She stops and walks to the edge of the ring and give me a look. I smile at her and shake my head. She turns back to deacon.
T: that's it no words or anything.
I walk away and head to the locker room. I sit on the bench and it's not long till Chris is standing behind me. She places her hands on my shoulder and rubs the top of my arms
C: you ok
I nod my head and lean back into her body. She kisses the top of my head and moves away from me. I grab her hand and pull her back to me.
S: and where r u going
C: to shower before we go home
S: I have a better idea. Let's grab our bags and we can shower back at your place together.
C: I like the sound of that
She leans down and gives me a quick peck as the team walks in
L: my eyes oh my eyes
Chris pulls away from me and turns to Luca
C: I don't want to hear it how many time have I walked in on you and rose doing a lot more than kissing in the living room
Luca puts his hands up in surrender
L: you have a point. Speaking of which, who's place are y'all gonna be at tonight
C: mine y?
L: Rosie is coming over
Chris nods her head and ask to my open locker and takes a hoodie from it and puts it on. I pick up both our bags shut my locker and we head out with the team. Chris is walking ahead of me with Luca as they discuss his plans for tonight I can't help but admire her. She's so beautiful and such an amazing person with such a big heart and I get to call her mine. I smile as I follow her along to her jeep.
C: ohhh jimmy I want ice cream on the way home
She turns to me and smiles really big. I walk up to her and wrap my arm around her shoulder.
S: what ever you want
I open the door to her jeep and she climbs in and I toss our bags in the back and walk around. She rolls down the window.
C: night guys see you all tomorrow
T,L,D,H: night
She rolls the window back up and pulls out of hq and heads to her favorite ice cream shop. I run in and get our ice cream and bring it back to the car and she pull out to go to the beach where we sit and eat out ice cream and watch the waves crash onto shore. She lays her head on my shoulder and I kiss the top of her head.
S: you know I love you
C: yeah. I love you too.
Her head rest on my shoulder and we sit for another hour before getting to go take that shower.
