Headcanonns #2 (REWORKED- Steve Saga Mature Stuff)

Sooo, I've re-read the chapter "Headcanons #2" and noticed they weren't thought through a lot. I mean, they were to a degree, but now, that I have thought about these more, and recently figured out what Omegaverse is, they have changed slightly.

So I figured: Hey! Let's re-do that chapter a little bit better! And add more details to it all!

Soooo, yeah, again, if you're not comfortable with themes like reproduction, yaoi, mpreg and Omegaverse related stuff, then please don't read this. I will go kind of into detail with a couple biological facts. (That I made up obviously, because none of that would work or exist in real life.)

1) Since there are only male Steves: Yes. They CAN in fact get pregnant.

This works basically like an Omegaverse, except for a couple little tweaks:

It's less animalistic. Omegas are treated with more respect as in they're not seen as just objects an Alpha can claim as his whenever he wants to. Such behavior is seen as a social no-no and if an Alpha left a mark on the unwilling Omega that mark will just not stay.

Both Alphas and Omegas can potentially get pregnant, because their biologically built the same way. What's making them different from each other is actually the varying levels of different hormones in their bodies.

For Alphas it's much easier to make others pregnant, rather than getting pregnant themselves. That is because their testosterone levels are significantly higher than their estrogen levels. That's also why their voices tend to be deeper and their heat cycles (yes Alphas have those too) are much, much weaker and less frequent, irregular even.

For Omegas it's basically the other way around. For them it's much easier to get pregnant themselves, rather than making others pregnant, because their estrogen levels are significantly higher than their testosterone levels. Which is also why their voices tend to be higher and their heat cycles are much stronger and more frequent and regular.

2) How does a heat cycle work in detail? Well, it basically is like the cycle of a female human, except during the time of ovulation they go into heat. (Which humans don't, obviously)
It starts with a couple days of bleeding, aka the shedding of the uterine lining, so it can renew itself to ensure fertility. That basically means: Yes. Periods. Fight me-
Follwing the bleeding is the phase where the lining regenerates in preparation for ovulation.
Then, when that time comes, an Omega will start to experience his heat symptoms like being more emotional, touchy, feeling hot and and tingly and overall that underlying feeling of being horny that can easily turn into arousal. These symptoms will last for 24-36 hours. With Alphas it's much more tame, they will hardly notice any of these symptoms.
And after that comes a time frame of another couple days, where they're still fertile until the next bleeding comes around.

3) Omegas go through that cycle round about once each month, whereas for an Alpha it takes 2-3, sometimes even 4 months. Their time frame, when they're fertile, is also smaller.

4) Omega X Omega and Alpha X Alpha relationships can exist, are usually not frowned upon, and can still potentially bring offsprings. It's just harder to do for them then.

5) A pregnancy lasts the average nine months.

6) Okay, for this one, hear me out, please: I strongly believe, that a Steve's physical appeareance is not set in stone and can change easily.
You see, when they borrow power from another Steve (or take it forcefully- coughNightmarecough), or give some away, or when two Steves fuse or when Elder Steves gain knowledge and experience, the way look and their coloration changes. There's plenty of occasions in the canon series itself where we could see that well.
I like to call that passive shapeshifting. Passive, because it's not something a Steve can control willingly, but because it's something that happens to him, that is caused by different outer and inner influences.

This also lets me believe, that it's not too far fetched, that if a Steve is pregnant, their lower body shifts to look like a female's; simply to make the process of giving birth easier. This usually happens 1-2 weeks before the actual birth.
