Teaser! (Steve Saga Related/ Rainbow X Reader Kinda)

Soooo.... I decided to change my Steve Saga Scenario book into an actual Steve Saga boyfriend scenario book! It's called just that, you can easily find it over my profile, I think. ^^;

Now the following is the "How You Meet" Scenario for Rainbow Steve. The full chapter isn't done yet (and not uploaded, so you won't find this part in the actual book yet), but I wanted to share a little bit of it anyways and get you a bit hyped. ^^

Rainbow

You were hiking through the forest. Wearing your self-smithed armor, your sword in its sheath that attached to your belt and carrying your leather backpack that held all of your belongings.

That's right. All of them. They all fit into one bag, since there weren't too many in the first place.

Why? Youu see, you were some kind of skilled, independent fighter, who simply preferred a nomadic lifestyle.

You have spent time in the past, staying with different people hoewever, offering them your services and protecting them. But such attachments usually never lasted longer than a couple months at max, before the world called you again, to travel along its many paths.

Right now you were just enjoying the peaceful and calm atmosphere of the forest around you, absorbing the sunlight on your skin and taking in the fresh scents of nature.

Until you heard a whimper together with viscous growling not too far  away from you.

Immediately you entered fighting mode and unsheathed your weapon, falling into a defensive stance. Your sharp eyes scanned the undergrowth, searching for the noise's source.

Soon you saw it. Grey fur and red eyes weasled their way through the bushes towards a clearing. Wolves. A whole pack. Probably twelve of them.

They weren't heading for you though. It seemed like they had other prey on their minds.

Was it an animal?

Then you heard the scared whimper again.

No, there was definitely a person!

Treading quietly, you followed the wolves until you saw the clearing. On it, surrounded by the angered canines, was a young male. He was very colorful, with his hair and eyes featuring every color of the rainbow. To top it off, he even wore a rainbow hoodie.

You thought his round, almost childlike face looked cute, the fearful expression however, certainly did not belong there.

You decided to protect him and stick around for a bit.

The wolves were still angered and growled at the poor boy, who didn't seem to understand why they were aggressive towards him in the first place. The pack of predators slowly closed in on him, cornering him against a tree.

Using your quick thinking, you climbed that particular tree in no time, so you could balance on a branch above the dreadful scene in order to drop down and land right between the boy and the wolves.

And that's what you did.

Thump!

Both of your feet hit the ground, the speed of your fall forcing you into a crouching position for a moment, but not disrupting your balance.

As risie back up to your full height you hear an astonished gasp behind you, while you grimly eye the wild versions of dogs in front of you.

"Tsk. Animals. If they had any sort of intelligence, they'd be running from me now."

The wolves seemed slightly surprised by your sudden appearance, but quickly started to growl at you as well.

You coldly returned their stares and as the first one jumped at you, you ducked slightly under it and sent it flying to the side with one swift strike of your sword directed at its unprotected stomach.

It hit the ground with a whimper, that sounded satisfying to you.

The next one tried to bite into your shin, your armor however made this choice regrettable. A kick sent it flying across the clearing as well.

One wolf after the other attempted to take you on, but they were no match for you.

Soon enough the pack runs away, whimpering and with their tails between their hind legs.

You allow yourself you smile a bit in victory, before getting serious again and turning around, directing your attention to the young male you just saved.

He was a good head shorter than you and stared up at you wide eyed. His multi-colored irises holding emotions such as surprise, wonder, curiosity and a slight hint of fear. He didn't dare to speak to you though.

So you took it upon yourself to start a conversation.

"Are you okay?", you asked, while calmly putting your sword back in its sheath and bending down towards him, to check him for any obvious injuries.

He was still staring at you wide-eyed, a little reluctant to answer. "Y-Yeah, I'm a-alright. I think..."

"So, nothing hurt you? No scratches, no bruises?"

"N-No. Not that I know of..."

You sigh in relief and straighten back up. "I'm glad."

He still seemed a tiny bit scared of you, so you tried to ease his mind by sending a small, friendly smile his way.

He shyly smiled back. "Thank you, for saving me."

"No problem. It's what I do." Your smile grew a little.

He took a small step forwards, gaining confidence around you. Or it was his curiosity getting the better of him, you weren't fully sure. "Wh-What's your name?"

"I'm (Y/n). And you are?"

"Rainbow Steve."

"Well then, Rainbow Steve. It's a pleasure to meet you."

You extended your open hand for him to shake. He gently took it and that's when you realized how slim not only his hand, but his entire body was build.

"Nice to meet you, (Y/n). The pleasure is all on my side!"
