Ohayo!

Before we start, I just wanted to let you know that I live in Germany.

I'll describe Christmas how we use to celebrate it, so it might be slightly different from what you know. (And maybe I'm too stupid to know how other countries celebrate Christmas....)

I hope it's not too bothersome!

Merry Christmas!

Situation:

It's Christmas! Your friends invited you to the Rainbow Town to celebrate Christmas with them. You can't wait to see Sabre, Lucas and the Steves again! With a bag full of presents, you head off to your friends' place.

Third Person PoV

Humming filled the crispy winter air and echoed from the snowy trees.

Snow crunched beneath your boots, as you happily marched through the snow-covered forest, humming your favorite Christmas song.

Your bag was slung over your shoulder, today slightly heavier than usual. It contained a whole bunch of presents for your friends.

Colorful crayons for Light Steve. Some light armor for Sabre, since he always tended to get himself into trouble. Redstone for Red Steve of course. An identification book for plants for Green Steve. A cute little teddy bear with a rainbow bow tie for Rainbow Steve and a lot of stuff for the others.

You grinned to yourself, curious to see their reactions. You just hoped everyone would be overjoyed!

Your steps came to a halt when you reached the edge of a river. The forest now laid behind you and across the river started a meadow (under a thick layer of snow of course). Aaannnd beyond the meadow you could see the wall, which belonged to the Rainbow Town!

You looked down at your feet and carefully climbed down the escarpment.

In summer the river's water was of course flowing, but now it was frozen solid. However you didn't dare to walk over it just yet.

I hope the ice won't crack...., you thought to yourself, as you  gently set your first foot onto the slippery ice.

Your second foot soon followed and a few seconds later you were slowly and carefully walking over the frozen stream, listening attentively to every possible sound the ice could make.

You were half way across the river when it happened.

The first thing you noticed was a silent crunching noise.

You stopped dead in your tracks. Probably not the smartest decision. Hot feeling blood pulsated through your veins and you could clearly hear the thumping of your heart.

For a short moment everything was quiet. You just thought you were safe and wanted to go on, when a loud crash split the ice. Right between your feet.

The crack expanded quickly, until all the ice was cracked.

In a rush of panic you stopped thinking and just bolted forward, hoping to reach the other side in time.

Next thing you remembered was you gasping for air, your body shaking violently. You weakly crawled up the escarpment. Reaching the top, you had to sit on your knees and recollect your thoughts.

The ice did crack. But you made it. Barely, but you made it. Why didn't you build a bridge anyway? You never thought you could move with such speed. Man, a Yellow Steve would be jealous....
