"Looks like Andy lost again. Time for another shot then bitch boy." Kris shouted across the table, laughing hysterically as Andy's shoulders sunk. I leaned on my pool stick, a smile plastered to my face as I watched Kris hand him the shot.

Andy's red eyes darted to meet mine as he shot me a dirty glare before raising it to his lips and tilting his head back. He swallowed and set the glass down on the table, anger still boiling inside from the game.

"That's twice I've beat you now. Should we go for a third or no?" I teased as I strolled up to him. Andy grumbled under his breath as he looked away from me but I grabbed hold of his chin, forcing him to turn back to me. "Ah ah. Look me in the eyes and tell me who's the winner again."

"You're quite demanding when you're drunk. You think you're top dog or something?" Andy asked, cocking his brow up as his eyes looked me up and down. My smile soon broke through as I giggled.

"I'm tipsy not drunk yet. But yes, I am the top dog."

"Really? Because the other night I thought I heard you screaming my—" I shoved him in the chest, causing him to laugh. I shook my head at him, my smile still present before I turned away.

The night was still young and after the incident at the carnival, we had no choice but to come home. It was actually me who suggested heading over to the bar considering we didn't have many options besides that. Andy's face lit up like a Christmas tree when I asked if we could go. I think he appreciated the fact that I was okay hanging around his friends.

"Would you like another?" Rosy asked, the tray steady in her hand. I looked down at my glass and shrugged as I took another, thanking her softly. She smiled, taking the empty glass from my hand and turned around before disappearing into the crowd.

"Hey, thanks for dragging Andy out." I turned to see Kris standing over me, a smile shown on his face. I returned the smile. "I know he enjoys hanging around, but I think it meant more that you suggested it to him first."

"Me? Enjoying hanging around with you? Alright buddy." Andy scoffed from behind me, snaking his arm around my waist. He looked down at me with a smile and brushed his lips on top of my head.

"I could fire you right now." Kris growled.

"Oh yeah? Do it." Andy teased. Kris narrowed his eyes and Andy cocked both brows up as he returned the stare, standing straight up now as his hand fell from my waist. Despite both of them being shifted, Andy was slightly bigger than Kris in beast form. Human form— Kris looked like he could snap Andy like a toothpick.

"Alright boys settle down."

"He started it." Andy scoffed.

"And I'm ending it." I snapped back, giving him a smirk. Andy scrunched his nose at me and took a sip of his drink. I grabbed his free hand and spun around, sliding it right back onto my waist where it belonged. His chest rumbled with a chuckle and he pulled me in close, letting my back rest against him.

"So I guess I never really thought about this until now but if this is a beast run place, how does that work with humans?" I asked as my eyes scanned the crowd. It was a mix of beasts fully shifted as well as regular people— possibly beasts not shifted?

"Well, all the staff have at least a little control so we push it until ten. That's when we technically close but really we just have someone outside watching who comes in." Andy said, leaning down and resting his head on top of my shoulder. I nodded my head.

"That's when the crowd is mainly beasts, whether they're shifted or not. But we do have a handful of humans coming in here." He added lightly. I took his words in and let my mind wander a bit.
