"So, you saw her?" CC asked as I set my bowl of cereal down on the table. I nodded my head, sitting down amongst the boys in the kitchen.
"That's why I passed out." I told them.
"Could be from Andy draining you." Damien huffed.
I shot him a glare. "Shut up."
He rolled his eyes but said nothing, leaning against the wall as he looked away. I had explained everything that happened to the boys after I woke up this morning. Andy was gone when I woke, so I assumed he was hunting?
We obviously missed class but Damien told me he'd take care of everything for us. All I wanted to do was get back to school, rest, and just have everything back in the swing of things.
I am still worried about Scout— what does she want? Does she want something from him? Or from me? And where was Jason in all of this shit? He has to be behind the scenes, watching from afar.
I was pulled from my thoughts as I felt two cold arms wrap around my waist. He placed his head on top of mine, and kissed the top. "Hi darling."
"Hi Andrew." I beamed.
I took his arms off of me and stood up, turning to face him. Sure enough I was right as I was matched with his black eyes. He gave me a smile, wiggling his brows as he asked, "You didn't even see me yet and you already knew? How's that?"
"Mmm the way you talk is slightly different than Andy, and you always call me darling." I laughed as I stroked his cheek with my thumb. There was dry blood on the corner of his mouth, and I couldn't help but laugh as I wiped it off.
"Damn she is good." Jake commented. I told Andrew to sit down with us, and he sat himself down, putting me on his lap. Andrew wrapped his arms around me again, brushing his lips along my neck softly. He stopped when he found the wound, and his chest fell with a soft sight. I'm so sorry.
It's okay. We can talk later. I slid into his head.
"So what exactly is she trying to do here?" I asked.
"Who?" Andrew asked.
"Scout." We all said in unison.
"Never liked that bitch." Andrew growled angrily, shaking his head. I furrowed my brows and looked at him confused. I mean, if Andy loved her I assumed that Andrew did as well?
"What? Just because Andy was fond of her doesn't mean I would be." He added, cocking a brow at me. The boys all nodded in unison, agreeing with him.
"It's true actually. Most beast sides rarely show any emotion or connection to someone." CC explained to me. "Even if the two are married and then one of them gets turned, the beast side almost never feels the same way as the human side does."
"Beasts don't have feelings. They don't fall in love— like, ever honestly." Damien added. He then looked at Andrew as did the rest of the boys. Andrew shrugged his shoulders. "I guess I'm different."
That actually made me smile. To hear this and then think of how much Andrew has grown care about me just showed how much both of them loved me. He gave me a light squeeze as he smiled.
"Jason is somewhere lurking in the shadows behind all of this. There's no way she's doing this all on her own." Ashley said, tapping his hand on the table as he looked around at all of us.
"Who's Jason?" Damien asked.
"Jason is— well, was one of my best friends. He was Andy's too, but Andy started to grow distant because of his actions." Andrew explained. "He met Andy at the bar, saw he was going through a tough time. They were friends, but soon Jason showed him his true nature and Andy wanted nothing to do with him."
