"Morning sunshine." Damien chuckled as I sat down beside him. I could hear the sarcasm in his voice, causing me to return the favor with a flip of the finger. He let out a laugh as I sat myself down next to him. "You look like you rolled out of bed."
"I practically did." I muttered.
"Long night?" He faked a pout.
"Two long nights. Apparently I got really wasted at a party the other night, but the hangover is still here." I groaned as I ran a few fingers through my hair. I felt better than yesterday but I still was not one hundred percent.
"There was a party?" Damien asked.
"Guess so." I muttered.
My memory was still hazy— I barely remembered a thing from that night quite honestly. Andy insisted on me skipping class today but he knew that was a long shot.
"I heard nothing about it." Damien sat back in his seat, checking his phone. He shrugged and got out his work as our teacher strolled in through the door.
I rested my head against the desk, listening to the soft rambling of our teacher as he gave out instructions. I let out a soft yawn. Damien still sat there on his phone, paying absolutely no attention to what was going on.
My phone buzzed in the back pocket of my pants. Pulling it out, I unlocked the screen and let out a soft sigh followed by a smile.
I love you. Andy texted.
He had been overly nice to me the past two days, and I couldn't understand why. I was not complaining considering I had a boyfriend who didn't give two shits about me, however this was a bit strange for me.
Damien nudged my arm. "Let's ditch."
I shot him a glare. "No."
"Come on," He pried. "Be bad for once."
"I am bad." I protested. Damien arched a brow at me and shook his head no. I gave him a look and grabbed my bag, sliding all of my stuff off the desk and inside of it. He arched his brows in surprise as he pulled himself from his seat.
We have a quick glance at the teacher who had their back to us, and walked to the door. Guilt was trying to wash over me as I left the class, considering I never skipped anything, but there was also this rush of excitement as I walked with Damien. Damien was fun to be around.
"The goody good Snow Baker walking out of class on a school day? Has the world turned upside down?" Damien teased as he walked alongside me, nudging my arm. I shot him a glare and flipped him off as we headed towards the streets. "Where are we going miss bad girl?"
I simply shrugged. "Lunch? I'm hungry."
"There's a good barbecue place just down the street if you're interested?" Damien suggested as he rounded the corner. I shrugged my shoulders in response and let him lead the way. My phone vibrated in my back pocket, and I told him to hold up for just a minute.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Snow, are you okay?" Ashley asked me, his voice full of worry. I furrowed my brows and said I was, a bit lost as to why he of all people would ask me that. "Did you talk to Andy?"
"I mean I said goodbye to him this morning when I left for class." Damien gave me an off look, asking who it was. I whispered it was one of Andy's friends and he shrugged his shoulders in response.
"Snow— do you remember anything?"
"Like what?"
"Snow, the other night he—"
