Andy had finally cooled down last night and managed to fall asleep quite early. Laying awake beside him with my eyes on the ceiling, I couldn't help but wonder why on earth she was here? Was this some sort of set up?
There was no way she happened to just apply to the same college as her ex, as well as room with her ex's girlfriend. But then again, their past was awhile ago so it could be a coincidence. However, in our lives nothing is a damn coincidence.
The next morning was even rougher. Andy held the door open for me, letting me walk in first. I thanked him as I held my books close to my chest, and Andy slid his arm around my waist. We rounded the corner and headed up the stairs, and that's when Andy froze.
I glanced at him. "What's wrong?"
He stood still, his face clenched with pure rage as he looked out at the seats. I turned my head and immediately spotted her hair, and quickly looked back at him. "Andy— let's move."
Andy clenched his fists, his chest rumbling with a low growl. His eyes were flickering from their natural ocean blue to the crimson red, and I pressed on his chest. "Andy, stop it. Keep yourself in control."
"Little bitch." Andy snarled.
"Andy calm down." I hissed.
Andy shot me a glare. He remained silent and pushed past me, stomping up the stairs to head to our seats. I stood there, completely stunned at the fact that he acted that way towards me. Of all people, he was never rude to me.
I followed behind him, weaving in and out of the seats before sitting down next to him. His eyes were locked on her with his body leaning forward. Andy held a straight face, his focus only on Scout. I could hear a low growl rise again and I slapped his arm.
Then he did something I would've never expected. His head snapped around to look at me, eyes glowing red as a low snarl escaped his lips. Immediately, Andy say straight up as he covered his mouth while the natural ocean blue returned to his eyes. I looked him in utter shock.
"I'm so sorry." Andy whispered.
I remained silent and turned my head back to the front. I held a straight face, looking forward as the bell rang. I could still see Andy staring me down from the corner of my eye, listening to him repeatedly apologize. "Snow, I'm so sorry. I don't know what came over me."
"It's fine." I snapped.
Andy sank back into his chair, letting out a low sigh as he looked ahead at the teacher. I gnawed on the inside part of my cheek as I tried not to snap at him again. Meanwhile, I noticed Damien was nowhere to be found.
"Hey." If on cue, I heard his voice whisper in my ear. I turned and saw him set his stuff down beside me before sliding into the seat. Damien flashed me a smile. "What's up."
"Hey Damien."
"So who's the new girl who took my seat?"
I glanced and noticed Scout was propped up in his spot. I shrugged my shoulders at him. It was not my place to go deep into who she really was nor would he really care anyways. Damien brushed it off and leaned back in his seat.
"Hmph, bitch." He huffed.
"Don't call her a bitch." Andy snapped angrily, causing both of us to look at him in shock. His eyes locked with Damien's but flicked over to mine, and immediately they softened as they saw the rage boiling inside of me. I arched a brow up at him and tilted my head.
"Why are you so mad that he called her a bitch? Are you defending her?" I asked him, my voice full of rage. Andy immediately shook his head and said he was not, but I was not convinced. If he hated her as much as he says he did, why would he defend her?
"Didn't you just call her a bitch too?"
"I— I mean, yeah I did." Andy said quickly, glancing back at Scout. He looked between her and me, completely stunned by himself.
"Snow you know—"
"Actually, I don't anymore." I snapped at him. Class had already started and we were supposed to be filling out notes, but my anger was getting the best of me. Damien took note of it and whispered softly, "Do you want to get out of here and blow off steam? Grab some coffee?"
I glared at Andy. "Sure, lets go."
I grabbed my things and stood up, causing Andy to shoot up as well. "Where— where are you guys going?" He asked quickly. His eyes held worry as he looked at Damien.
"We're going for coffee." I huffed.
"Oh— I'll just grab my—" Andy started but I shook my head at him. I was too frustrated with everything right now to be around him, which was shocking considering I never get mad at him. Andy looked puzzled.
"You can stay here." I told him.
"Snow, look I'm really—"
"You ditched class all through high school. You can't start that in college." It was a bullshit lie however I didn't want to snap on him anymore. All I needed to do was calm down and get things off of my mind.
"I'll see you tonight." I told him, patting against his chest lightly. Andy looked at me in shock but I turned around and headed down the stairs with Damien. He held open the door for me and as soon as I left the room I felt a large weight being lifted off of my shoulders.

"So, you work at a coffee shop— and somehow you're not sick of coffee?" Damien chuckled, stirring his coffee as he looked at me. I took a sip of my latte and set it down while shrugging my shoulders in response. "I grew up on it."
"My strange addiction?" He gasped.
I slapped at his hand and rolled my eyes. We had been here for well over an hour now just wasting the day with small talk. Andy had called and texted but they all were unopened. I was just so frustrated with him right now, and honestly I had a bad feeling sitting deep within my gut.
Ever since meeting her, I felt like there was something off. It was odd for her to be here. Of all places, you mysteriously wound up at your ex boyfriend's school and tried rooming with his current girlfriend?
"So why were you so snippy earlier?"
I was pulled from my thoughts. Glancing at Damien, I snapped back into reality and leaned back in my chair. "I uh— well, that girl is his ex girlfriend." I explained quickly, earning a slow nod from Damien as he finally understood.
"Ah I see." Damien chuckled.
"Yeah— I mean, don't get me wrong. If he wants to be friends with her or whatever I'm not that controlling." I laughed lightly, gripping my mug with both hands. I bit my lip anxiously, taking a pause in my sentence as I tried to find the right words. "But he claims he hates her, yet he got mad when you called her a bitch— which is why I'm confused."
"Like, why stick up for her if you hate her as much as you claim?" I half asked him and half asked myself. Damien nodded his head and shrugged his shoulders. "I don't get it either. But I know I'd be mad too."
"I'm not mad I'm just— frustrated."
Damien smirked. "You're mad."
I glared at him. "Am not."
"Are too. I can see it in your eyes." He said as he reached over, hovering his finger in front of my eyes. I slapped his hand away and chuckled as I told him to stop it. Damien slid his empty mug to the center and stood up. "Come on, I know a place that'll ease your mind."
"If you take me to your bedroom, I'm going to kick your ass." I said with a laugh. That made him chuckle as well as he held the door open for me, leading the way outside.
