"Andy! Surprised to see you." Matt said, standing up from his seat. He went over and hugged Andy, giving him a pat on the back. Andy smiled, apologizing for dropping by without saying anything. "You're fine. Sit down."
Andy and I slid into the other booth across from Matt. Matt was fully shifted as well, with dark brown hair and a pair of bright red eyes. He was tall like Andy, however I have not seen anyone compare to Andy's height and size.
"And you must be Snow?" He asked.
I nodded my head. "Hi."
"Andy tells me a lot about you."
I gave Andy a glance. "Good? Or bad?"
"Always good." He laughed.
I gave Andy a look and he chuckled, telling me to calm down. I rolled my eyes at him and turned back to his friend, folding my arms across my chest. "What negative things could I say about you?"
"Just making sure." I cooed.
Andy rolled his eyes and laughed, looking over at Matt. Matt leaned forward on the table, asking what brought us here. Andy let out a sigh. "Jason is back in town."
That took him by surprise. "Really?"
Andy nodded. "Did you not know?"
"No. I have not seen that thing crawling these streets in awhile, and nobody told me." He said, shaking his head at us. Matt let out a long sigh, looking down at the table for a brief moment. He looked up at both of us. "Where did you find him?"
"He was with Scout." Andy said softly.
His eyes went wide. "Scout?"
Andy nodded. "We think he turned her."
"She's a beast?" Andy nodded his head. Matt was shocked after hearing that one, however I think everyone was. We all thought she was gone for good, but that didn't last too long. Matt furrowed his brows. "Wait a minute. I think I might've known this."
"Huh?" We both asked.
"There was a beast— a female— who was said to be running on the streets. She was slaughtering left and right." Matt said, playing with his fingers on the table. He took in a sharp breath and licked his lips. "I think some of my friends even said they saw her at your college."
"That explains the attacks." I whispered.
"I didn't know who she was." Matt said.
"Can I get you anything?" A soft voice asked. We all turned and found Roxie, her hand holding out an empty tray. I smiled and gave her a way, asking for water.
"AB positive please." Matt smiled.
"And for you?" She asked Andy.
"Oh I uh— animal blood." He said softly, biting his lip nervously. Andy gave me a wary glance and looked back at Roxie, and she just nodded her head. She spun around and went to walk away before I grabbed her by her waist. She turned to me and leaned down.
"Get him O positive." I murmured.
"Okay." She laughed, nodding her head.
I leaned back in the booth, letting out a long yawn. Andy slid his arm around my waist, sliding me closer to him. Matt glanced at his watch and quickly slid himself out of the booth, brushing himself off. "I forgot I have a meeting actually. New employees."
Andy arched a brow. "Oh?"
"Yeah. Have to see if their qualified."
"What does qualified mean?" I asked.
