We stayed quiet for awhile after Damien left. I gave Andy a rundown of what had happened, and his face stayed the same throughout the entirety of it. He had a cold look in his eyes while I spoke, and I even watched his eyes flicker between red and black, knowing all too well Andrew was furious as well.

I did however leave out what Scout told me— quite frankly, I knew it would upset him and honestly I just didn't want to speak of it again. Her words still sat in my head, repeating themselves over and over again in a hushed whisper.

That was him. That was his instincts.

I couldn't shake her voice from my head. The image of her on top of me kept replaying in my head on an infinite loop, letting myself get totally lost in it.

"Snow!" Andy shouted, making me jump.

I turned my head. "Huh?"

"Your phone has rang like three times, babe."

"I— Oh, sorry." I muttered. I reached over, grabbing my phone from the nightstand as it vibrated again. I opened it up to see Damien's name flashing across the screen. I sat myself up on the bed. "Hey what's up? Did you find her?"

"No. I haven't even caught her scent and I've roamed the entire campus." Damien huffed into the phone. He took in a sharp breath. "There was a body though. I found it off campus."

"Where at?"

"In that old building I took you too."

"And you didn't catch her scent?" I asked.

Damien paused. "I— I actually caught Andy's."

My heart skipped a beat, and I know Andy noticed because he sat up straight asking what's wrong. I swallowed hard before trying to speak again. "I— I mean that makes no sense. He's been with me since you left?"

"True but where did he go before? Where did he go and look for you like he said he did?" Damien asked skeptically. I felt the lump in my throat grow as I let his words sink in. He had a fair point.

"Listen I'm not trying to accuse him of anything, but this is the only scent I'm picking up." He added softly. I could tell he was just as confused as I was but was also thinking the only logical thing. I told him to call if he had anything else and hung up.

"What happened? Did Damien find her?" Andy asked anxiously, leaning forward a bit. I looked over at him and slowly shook my head, letting out a low sigh. Andy pursed his lips but said nothing, his eyes glancing down at the bed.

"Do you really think I did that?" He finally said, his voice barely above a whisper. I sat still, staring at him for a moment. He looked back up, his red eyes locking with mine. I quickly looked down.

"Do what?"

"Don't play dumb. I heard him." Andy slid his cold hand under my chin, tilting it up so my eyes met his again. Despite my best efforts trying to hide it, my heart was pounding out of my chest. Andy took note of it and let out a sigh, removing his hand and leaning back against the wall.

"Look, I'm sorry about what I did to you. I will never forgive myself for that. But I don't know what I can do to get you to— to trust me again?" Andy's voice wavered a bit as he spoke. He bit on his lip as he looked away for a moment. "So to answer the question that I know is in your head— no, I did not go and hunt someone. I went and looked for you."

"Believe me or don't, that's all I can say."

"No Andy, I do believe you." I murmured.

He cocked a brow. "Really?"
