"Reasons, a person can have many reasons for doing an action that might hurt us. It can be correct in their point of view but it may not be right in our point or that may harm you more than anything."

Abhi Goenka

I opened my eyes and blinked them to adjust to the lights. I was not in my room, this room was in white, and I heard a beep sound making me look to my side. I found a machine and wires from it were on me. I realized that I was in the hospital.

Everything came flooding back to me, me leaving the home in anger and the brakes failure that caused an accident. Thinking about them is giving me a headache. I tried to lift my hand but was unable to. I broke my hand.

"Please rest sir. The doctor is on the way. I will inform your family and come back," the nurse left me before I can open my mouth.

I waited for her to come back. She came back and stood to my right.

"Your family is very happy to listen that you woke up. They will come and see you once the doctor checks you. Do you need anything?"

"Water," my voice was raspy. The nurse nodded her head and filled the glass with water from the jug. She placed the glass on the side table and helped me to sit. She brought the glass to my lips helping me to take a few sips.

The doctor came inside as I was drinking the water. After testing and asking me some questions, he informed me that I was fine. The doctor left and my father and mother entered first.

Mom sobbed seeing me; I gave her a weak smile in reply. "My baby!" She hugged me. I patted her back trying to make her stop crying even though I know that she will not stop.

"I am fine, mom. I will get on my feet in no time." I tried to lighten her mood.

"Oh yes. Avni and I will have you recovered in no time," listening to her name the smile on my face dropped. I remembered the message and I don't want to see her face.

"Abhi," I looked up at my father. He spoke for the first time after coming into the room. "We are glad that you are safe. But don't hurt Avni, she did many things for you and risked her life. Listen to her first before starting a fight." She risked her life for me. What forced her to do so?

My mother saw the expression on my face before answering my question. "The person behind this is Damini. Avni risked her life for protecting us from her," her shoulders shook as she started crying. My father held her, I want to console her and tell her to stop crying and to stop lying. I can't picture Avni at risk.

"Is she safe?" My question caught my father's attention and he nodded his head assuring me about her. My body relaxed and I breathed a sigh of relief.

"Damini aunty?" She was behind this, she wanted my family's destruction but why? I remember she was attentive and loved me more than Aarav then what changed!

"Aarav? Where is he?" My mother was calm now. She sighed before answering me.

"He left immediately after listening about his mother. But he called a few minutes back to enquire about you. He is fine." I nodded. They both left informing me that others were waiting to meet me.

I was getting a mild headache because of all the thoughts circling in my mind. Damini, she was family but she wanted to kill us. Was it because of property? Then why kill her husband, it looked like there is something more to the story. I need to get those answers.

Dadi and Avni's grandmother came inside next. Dadi started crying after seeing me, her friend helped her and they both came towards me.

"Munna, don't do that again," she started crying again.
