"Two friends get close on a journey where they ask questions about each other, making their bond strong. The friendship may blossom to many more things."

"You and I are going to get along fine." I was unable to grasp the meaning behind his words.
Only, some people have the power in my life to make me shocked. The person in front of me shocked me by stating it.
"What do you mean by that?" I asked unable to control my curiosity and frustration.
He sighed and gave me a look that I was familiar with, "Little one, I meant that you and I are going to get along well after knowing each other better." He leaned back and watched me with lazy eyes.
I was mortified. "Y-you a-are calling m-me li-little one." I stuttered and started laughing loudly gaining the attention of other patrons.
I ignored the others and looked at the stranger's face, his face was set without moving a muscle. That expression made me stop laughing. My eyes widened in disbelief.
I moved my chair near the table and whispered in my threatening voice. "I am not a little one." He shrugged his shoulders in reply.
"Oh, I mean you are little than me and your brain is taking a long time to process information. So, I thought to give you a suitable title." The nerve of this jerk.
"Don't mind me, I think a girl should jump up and down in happy when a stranger tells her that they will get together," I whispered the words furiously.
"I didn't say that we will be together." I ignored him and continued my speech.
"If your eyes are working properly, I am a married woman," I said in a flat voice showing him the chain around me that tied me to my husband for eternity.
"Ah, how can a girl misinterpret a simple meaning behind a sentence? I thought you were different from your looks, you disappoint me little one." I felt bad for misjudging him. But, when I heard those words in a low voice, it broke my heart. "Your husband isn't here either." He mumbled those words under his breath making it hard for me to understand them, but I heard them and the words broke my heart because they were true. I don't know in which place I and my husband stand.
Just then, I got called for getting my order. I looked at the stranger in front of me. Even though it had been five minutes since we met, I felt like we had both know each other for a long time.
I stood up from my seat making the person in front of me startle. "It was lovely meeting you. But if you will excuse me I have to leave." With that said I walked out of the place carrying my lunch.
"Hey, wait." I heard him call me but I didn't listen to him and walked out of the restaurant.
"Geez, slow down woman." I heard him speak from beside me. I wanted to ignore him but I was unable to control my mouth.
"Oh, now I am a woman and not a little one," I said in a sassy voice.
I heard him chuckle but I kept my head down focusing on the road. "Ah, you are a sassy little thing." I ignored his last word. "And I can tell by just looking at you that we are going to get along fine." I tried to interrupt him but he didn't allow me to speak. "I wish you and your husband a good married life; I wish to be your friend only." I was processing the things he told me, I found it fair. A person can become friends with a stranger and then know about him later.
"Ok, fair enough. I am Avni." I stopped walking and faced him extending my hand for a handshake.
His big manly hands swallowed my hand; even though they were big, rough palms provided me comfort. We shook our hands as I waited to listen to his name.
