"You don't know that Lucas. You can't just accuse him." Mr. Crescent said in his domineering voice.
"How else do you explain what she saw?" Lucas defended.
"The only evidence you have against him is the fact that he was there. We won't know anything until we can question him, but we have to find him first."
"Did he look tired or weak?" Lucas asked turning to me looking frantic, obviously not wanting to give up the accusation.
"No he didn't, last time I saw him he was shooting fireballs out of his hands." I answered and they both looked at me with shock in their eyes again.
"Than he couldn't have been using a hallucination spell, it takes a lot of energy to force an image into someone's mind and make it believable and from his grades... He isn't one of our best and brightest students." Mr. Crescent said.
"You don't have to be rude, Gill is still my friend." I snapped at them, though I don't know how true that is, what if Gill really did plan that whole thing... Could I still be friends with him? But what reason would he have to do something like that, it was cruel and if he was that heartless why would he come after me when I ran away and he tried to save me when I was in danger...
"Ms. Alex?" Tomas rubbed my back gently trying to comfort me, seeing my torn expression.
"I didn't mean anything by it, it's just he doesn't take his education seriously and is one of the bottom in his classes. My statement was actually meant as more of a defence in his favor." Mr. Crescent explained.
"Well, everyone needs to reserve judgement until we know what really happened, he did try to save me after all." I stated with resolve and Mr. Crescent looked at me with pride.
"Your absolutely right Alexandra, we'll find him and get to the bottom of this, but in the meantime, I expect Tomas will be reluctant to leave your side, but I'm not in the habit of allowing random wolf's to roam about on my territory, though I do realize there are some extenuating circumstances." Mr. Crescent said and Tomas inched closer to me, bumping my shoulder with his arm, but I bit my lip nervously, I really didn't think that far ahead, as to where Tomas would stay or how this would work, but Mr. Crescent continued. "For now Lucas will escort you both to a cottage where Tomas can stay, under guard, until we know exactly what is going on."
"Under guard... Like he's a prisoner?" I questioned.
"Not exactly, more like an untrusted guest." Mr. Crescent corrected with a slight smirk, I wanted to roll my eyes at his semantics, but resisted the urge and looked at Tomas to get his opinion.
"Whatever you think, as long as this is where you want to be." Tomas said, giving me a small amount of reassurance.
"Ok." I answered reluctantly and Mr. Crescent walked us to the wall, where Sam, the security guard, was waiting for us with his usual polite smile. Part of the wall began to look shimmery and Lucas stepped threw, followed by me and Tomas, while Mr. Crescent stayed back and talked to Sam. We were all quiet as Lucas continued to lead us into the woods, but after a short while I noticed the separation growing and Lucas getting further ahead of us.
"Are you alright?" Tomas asked putting a supportive hand on my low back.
"Ya, I'm fine." I reassured with a small smile that I really didn't feel.
"You look tired." Tomas observed and honestly he's right, I feel drained, both mentally and physically.
"It's been a long day." I chuckled trying to play it off light-heartedly.
"Do you want me to carry you?" Tomas asked looking at me with concern and I noticed Lucas suddenly stop ahead of us with his fists clenched at his sides.
