Chapter 4: day in the town

*Kayla's POV*

I woke up with my phone blowing up. I looked at them and saw they were from Daniel.

Daniel🎶: Are we still on for today?
Daniel🎶: Are you okay?
Daniel🎶: Wake up

I read the rest and walked downstairs and made breakfast. "Hey Kayla." Robert said. "Sup Skye." I said and went upstairs. After I ate and took my shower I threw on a black cami and a red and black flannel and leggings with my black converse. I ran downstairs and threw on my ankle brace, grabbed my skateboard and went outside. I rode past the Skye's and saw Daniel waiting outside but I just rode past him calling my name.

I made it to Rushmore and got monster Energy and candy. Then I rode to the park. I sat on top of the dugout and watched my friend Nick play his baseball game. After the game I threw a skittle at him and laughed. "Hey stranger." he said sitting next to me. "Hey person." I said. "so how Ya been I've been texting you and no response I thought you were dead." I felt bad. "I'm sorry." i said. "it's fine he said." "NICK." I looked behind us and saw Killian "What." Nick said. "nevermind." He said and walked away.

"Wanna ride around town?" he asked. I agreed and we rode around till it was dark. "I had fun." I said at his house. "Me too nice catching up with you" he said and hugged me.

I rode home and and walked inside. "Hey." I said and went upstairs.

~the next day~

KAYLA GET UP WERE GOING TO THE MALL WITH THE SKYES." i groaned and threw on a crop top that said "beware of zombies" and high waisted jeans and converse.

We got to the mall and I went to get a hoodie and matt came with. Daniel followed me. "Hey isn't it the cute boy you and katelyn saw." I looked over and nodded. "Excuse me sir can we have help?" I said to him. "With what." he said. "hoodies." he guided me over to these hoodies and it was cool. "can I take a picture with you..." I said. "sure." he laughed.

After that we went shopping for other things. "Kayla can I talk to you?" Daniel said. "sure." I said. "I'm sorry" he said while we were waiting in line. "it's fine I'm sorry and you can come over." I smiled. I ordered my food and we sat far away by ourselves just to talk.

"IS THAT KAYLA ESPINOSA!!" This girl yelled. "Um." I said. "Just ignore them." Daniel said. "Tomorrow we are defiantly hanging out." he said.

I walked into one more store and then we left. Daniel stayed over and we were up all night till I got a call from Nick.

N: KAYLA
K: NICK
N: answer me
K: I will im busy tho
N: ok text me tomorrow for sure girl
K: ok

I hung up and me and Daniel continued what we were doing. We decided to make a YouTube video.

"Hey guys it's Daniel and I'm here with Kayla."
"I'm sitting on the floor cause I'm cool like that."
"And it's 3:00 in the morning so we wanted to do a challenge."
"The tin can challenge"
"Kayla is going first and then me."
~In the middle of my turn~
"I gave up so I'm having cookie cake."
He laughed.
"What."
~Towards the end~
"Alright thank you guys for watching and I'll see your next week."

We ended it and stayed up and watched movies. I saw him on his phone and sighed. "what?" He asked. "nothing." I said. I got my laptop and played with some beats. "That's really good." he said but I didn't hear him. I played some Disney games and he watched like his phone was nothing to him.

The rest of the night we just goofed off. He fell asleep so I drew on his face then I drew on Matt's face. I stayed up and played a game. Then it was late so I went to sleep.
