Chapter 15: Neighbors

*Kayla's POV*

After breakfast I went downstairs and got dressed. I wore a zombie crop top and short Jean shorts. Once I walked out the door I got pulled back in by Daniel. "Can we talk?" We both said. I sat on the bed and an he sat across from me.

"I'm not mad at you Kayla I'm sorry for ignoring you." He said looking down. I looked at him and he kissed me. He pulled me into his lap and I wrapped my legs around his waist. (Picture at the beginning) "You look cute today." He said. "You look handsome today." I said.

"My mom said we are doing games today" I said kissing his cheek. "Wow." He said. "What?" I asked. "Games all day!" He said rolling his eyes. "I can beat you at pool." I said trying to get up. "Haha no." he said. He got up and left but I grabbed my sunflower seeds before we left. I gasped when pushed me up for support.

I opened the bag and threw some in my mouth. He pouted and I laughed. We met up with the family outside. "Keep those hands at the waist Daniel." Matt said. "Sorry Matt." he said moving his hands to my waist. I spit out my sunflower seeds in a cup instead of the floor because Burnie will eat it.

"Your brother is protective huh?" Daniel whispered as he put me down. "Nope he just doesn't want anyone touching my butt so." I said. "Oh." he said looking at Matt who was eyeing him. "Matt stop staring." I said. Everyone laughed.

"So what first." I said. "Lets play pool!" Matt yelled. We went to the basement and set the pool table up.

After that we went outside and just talked. We saw the neighbors walking over and we got up. Once Daniel saw a boy our age he tensed up and wrapped his arm around me. "Calm down baby." I said kissing his cheek. "Hello we are the Smith's." they said. "We are the Espinosa's and Skye's" my dad said.

"Vacation?" They asked. "yea." we said. The parents were talking to each other and the boy came up to us. "Hey I'm Cody." he said and Daniel clenched is jaw. I kissed his cheek and held his hand. "Hey Cody I'm Matt and that's my sister Kayla and her boyfriend Daniel." once Matt said boyfriend Cody clenched his jaw. "That's Robert, JJ, Jojo and Becca all Daniel's siblings."

"We should hang out sometime." Cody said looking at me. "Can I punch him now?" Daniel whispered. "No." I whispered back. Cody still had his jaw clenched it looked like his teeth were going to break.

I said bye to him and dragged Daniel with me. "Babe your mine and only mine." He said as we walked past the parents. "And that's the couple of the house." My Mom said. We walked up the stairs to the top of the house and looked over the balcony.

"Look his jaw is clenched." I laughed. "Wow." he said laughing. "He seems like a pretty boy." I said. "I don't like pretty boys... I like Daniel." He looked at me and smiled. "I don't know this Daniel kid can you describe him."

I laughed. "He looks exactly like you." I said. "Aw that's your description of me." he pouted. I kissed him and then looked down. "He's starring at us." he said. "his fist is clenched." I said. "don't go near him please." I said.

We walked inside and waited. "This day was a waste." we said. We ordered some chicken and other stuff and then ate. "Cody likes Kayla." Matt said. I rolled my eyes. "So what." I said. "She's mine and only mine." Daniel said.

After dinner me and Daniel went downstairs and watched a movie on my laptop. We watched finding nemo until the doorbell rang. I got up and answered the door. "What are you doing here?" I asked Cody. "DANIEL." I yelled and he came running. "I need to talk to your mom." I ran upstairs and got my mom.

I grabbed Daniel and went back to the movie. My pajamas are sweatpants from my school and a volleyball shirt. I put my hair up in a messy bun and cuddled into Daniel. I fell asleep and he issued my forehead. "Goodnight beautiful."
