Chapter 17: Lighthouse

*Kayla's POV*

I didn't want to get up today. Daniel had his arms around my waist and I had my arms around his. I buried my head in his chest and I felt him move his head. I peeked one eye open and saw him looking at me. "I know your up Kayla." He said tightening his grip.

"Yea and..." I said looking up at him. He was about to say something when his phone buzzed. He let go and I turned the opposite way. I got up and went upstairs I only saw Matt up so I sat next to him. "Hey sis." he said looking up from his phone. "Hey broski." I said getting my laptop.

I went YouTube and watched Codenamed kids next door because me and Matt used to watch that all the time in the morning. He shifted over so he could watch. We hear footsteps coming up the stairs and Becca came and sat on my lap.

I saw Daniel looking at me and I ignored it. When we were done watching it everyone was up now. "Wanna go to the lighthouse today?" My Dad asked. "Yea sure." we said. I got up and went downstairs. I laid on the bed and made some beats. Daniel walked in looking for clothes then walked to the bathroom. When he walked out I walked in and threw on my Mickey Mouse tank top and short Jean shorts. It is 90 degrees out so I have to wear a tank top. I walked out and put on my socks and ankle brace then my white converse.

I went in the bathroom and brushed my teeth and put my hair up in a ponytail. "Hey Kayla." I looked down and saw Becca brushing her hair. "I like your outfit." I said looking at her dog tank top and Jean shorts. "Thank you. You look pretty too." she said putting her brush down.

"Kayla." Daniel said. "Yea." I said as I walked out of the bathroom. "Have you seen my-woah." he said looking at me. "Have I seen your what." i laughed. "My my my phone." He said looking at me. "Its charging." I put my phone in my pocket and walked out.

"Babe wait up." He said running after me. "Lets go." I said pulling him. We all go outside and drove there. "Kayla are you climbing the lighthouse?" Matt asked. "Nope." I said. "Scared of heights huh?" He asked. "yep." I said. "I'll stay with chuuuu." He said wrapping his arms around me. I laughed and when we got there I got out and Matt still had his arms around me.

Daniel looked at me and I smiled. "So who's climbing?" Esther asked. "Im staying with Kayla." Matt said waddling behind me. "Why?" Daniel asked. "Scared of heights." I said looking at him. Everyone else is climbing it except me and Matt. "So what's with you and your lover boy?" He asked and I laughed. "I don't know I saw his phone and he's texting Madison and Amy and every morning he's always ignoring me." I looked down.

"Wanna walk around?" He asked changing the subject. I took a picture of the lighthouse and we walked around catching up on things. After we sat a bench waiting. We saw everyone coming our way and Daniel didn't even look at me. I got up and Matt wrapped his arms around my neck and we walked to the car.

We got back to the house and my mom wanted to talk to everyone. "Alright we are going out to dinner tonight so dress nice." she said looking at me. "alright." we said going downstairs. I went to the basement where Burnie was because I haven't seen him.

"Kayla are you down here?" Daniel asked. "Yep." I groaned. "Come here buddy." I said to Burnie. "So how's Amy and Madison?" I asked throwing the ball. "You know about that?" He asked sitting next to me. "yea." I said petting Burnie. "Nothing's happening I promise I love you and only you got it?" He asked holding my cheeks. "Yea." I said. He kissed me and Burnie barked. We laughed and I threw his toy.

"So working on anything new?" I asked. "yea I'm working with Cameron Dallas." He said. "So I'll be in the studio a lot." I smiled and looked back at Burnie. "That's cool." Burnie laid next to me and fell asleep. I got up and went upstairs. I picked out an outfit because we leave in an hour. I picked out a black crop top with high waisted Jean shorts and black and white converse. I changed and came out. I saw Daniel in shorts and a short sleeved shirt.

I picked up my Walking Dead hoodie and walked over to my phone but got pulled into a hug. "You look beautiful." Daniel said in my ear. "You look handsome." I said poking his chest. He let go and I got my phone.

I walked out and saw everyone waiting. "Lets go." Matt exclaimed walking out the door. Daniel came with us and sat next to me. We got there and waited for a table. "We're waiting promotion waiting promotion." Matt sang the line from Spongebob. "OH MY GOD IS THAT MATT ESPINOSA AND DANIEL SKYE?!" They looked at each other. "Waiter we need a table like right now." My Mom said.

"Aha madam we have a table right over there follow me." He said. Daniel held out his arm and I took it. We sat down and I realized I left my sweatshirt in the car and I am freezing. "cold?" Daniel asked. I nodded as he took off his sweatshirt and gave it to me. "Thanks." I said putting it on.

We ordered our food and waited. I gave Daniel his sweatshirt back because he was cold. "Dad can I have the keys to get my sweatshirt?" I asked and he handed me the keys. "Im going with you." Matt said. We walked out and I opened the car. I grabbed my sweatshirt and walked back in and sat down.

After dinner we left and went home. I changed into my pajamas and got a bag of Oreos and sat in bed watching Scary Movie 3. Daniel came in and fell asleep.
