Chapter 7: Skateboarding

*Daniel's POV*

I woke up with a pie in my hand and waiting for Kayla to wake up. She woke up and we threw the pies at her. She got up and went to the bathroom. "MOM!" She yelled. I heard them talking so I decided to listen. "Sure honey I know you haven't seen him in forever." Who? "Thanks Mom and Chandler wanted to know if he could stay here until he leaves?" WHAT? "Of course."

Kayla walked out and saw me. She ignored me and kept walking down stairs. "Kayla." I said grabbing her wrist. She winced but yanked it away. "Kayla Espinosa come here." I said grabbing her waist. "LET ME GO." She yelled. "Where are you going today?" I asked grabbing her phone. "To the mall with Chandler if he can get a plane ticket." She said sticking her tongue out at me. "He didn't get the plane ticket." I said smiling. She walked away putting soap in two hands.

She came back and smacked me then went over to Matt and smacked him. She took her phone and took her cereal and went upstairs. "Dude we really pissed her off." Matt said touching his face. "Yea."

I left after that and just sat in my room till Jojo and Robert wanted me to go outside with them.

*Kayla's POV*

Me and my best friends Lizzy and Remington are hanging out today so I wore a flannel, leggings and my ankle brace. I walked to the garage and grabbed my blue pennyboard. I skated past the Skye's and bumped into someone.

"Woah babe where you going?" Daniel. "Park." I said skating away. "WAIT." He said running up to me. I stopped and he hugged me. "I'm so sorry Kayla I didn't mean to do any of that Matt thought it would be funny I'm really sorry." He said with tears. "Hey Daniel I'm right here I'm not mad I promise." I said looking in his eyes. He kissed me and I kissed back. "I gotta go." I said.

"LIZZY." I yelled getting off the skateboard. We hugged and made our way to a dugout. "So Remi how's it going?"

"Good I guess." He said. "Wanna go to Dunkin?" Lizzy asked we all said sure and we rode there. We walked inside and Lizzy nudged me. "Bryan's here." she whispered. "Guys lets go to Rushmore." I said and we walked out. We walked in and got something to drink. We all got soda and candy.

After that we rode to the elementary school and went to the playground. We heard talking and saw Bryan and Jonathan coming our way. "Guys we gotta go now." Lizzy said and we made our way to the black top. We skated back to the park and went to the entrance and sat on the wall.

This little 8-year-old kid came up to us. "Which one of you ladies is coming home with me tonight?" He asked. "I'm not in dating someone so." I said drinking my soda. "Really girl you just made me sad now." I gave him the thumbs down. "Does that mean you wanna go down on me." we got up and walked away but he kept following us. "Come girl let me give you my digits." he said pulling out my phone. "It's fine." I said going to the bathroom.

"What is happening." I laughed with Lizzy. "I don't know." we walked out and didn't see him so we walked to the hut and sat on the metal thing. "Babe why don't you come with me into the sunset tonight." I laughed and threw a fri at him. "It's not night so." I said spilling the whole cheesy fries on him. He walked away after that. We laughed and skated to Nicks practice. Everyone says he likes me but I don't see it.

He was up at bat and put on his gloves. "HEY NICK!" I yelled and waved. He looked at me and smiled. He was swinging the bat but hit the ball up over the fence. "Wait Nick come here for a second." I said getting up. "One do you have your skateboard with you?" I asked. "yea." he said. "ok join us after practice and second aim for Markus he hasn't caught anyhing yet." He nodded and went back.

I saw Nick starring at me and got hit with the ball. "ARE YOU OKAY?" We yelled. "Perfectly fine." he said getting up. After about 30 minutes practice ended and he hung out with us. Remington left and Lizzy left to go to Softball so it is just me and Nick.

"It's like 2:00 what do you wanna do?" I asked walking next to him. "Woods?" He asked. "Woods." I said and we skated to the woods by the soccer field. "So how's your boyfriend." he asked sounding upset. "Good but he's getting more popular and I noticed two plane tickets in his dresser next to his laptop and one said his name and the other said Madison with a heart I don't know man we've been dating for like two days what do I do." I said leaning on his shoulder.

"Ask him who Madison is an if he lies then he's not right for you." He said pulling out his phone. He took a picture and sent it to me and posted it on Instagram. "But what is he tells the truth?" I asked. "Then just ask why he has a ticket for her and not you." he said getting up. "Lets go get some pizza!" He yelled and skated away from me. I waited till he came back.

He came running back and picking me up. I laughed and he carried me out of he park. "Yo dude gotta girl I see." William said. "No bro leave me alone." Nick said putting me down. We walked to the pizza place and sat down. "So." he said eating his pizza. Before I ate mine I smacked him with it then I ate it.

I laughed and he wiped it off. "Haha funny Kayla." He rolled his eyes and I saw Esther walk in. "Hi Mrs. Skye how are you." I said waving. "Hello Kayla I'm fine who is this?" She said pointing to Nick. "My friend Nick." she nodded. "Daniels upset you know." I frowned. "why." I asked throwing out my plate.

"About the whole pie thing." She said ordering her pizza pie. "Tell him I'm not mad anymore." I said then waved goodbye. I followed Nick and he ditched me for his friends so I just left. "WAIT KAYLA!" He screamed. I just rode my way to the park. Once I got there I hid in the announcer booth because he never looks there.

"Did you see her?" Nick asked. "Dude she went that way." Vinny said. Once they left I rode past them and went my way home. I was turning down my street when this kid came full speed towards me. We crashed and I landed on the grass. "Im sorry Kayla I didn't mean to." Robert said. "Slow your roll there buddy." I said picking up my skateboard and made my way home.

"KAYLA!" Matt yelled as I walked in. I ignored him and made my way to bed because my legs are tired. Daniel kept texting me and I just fell asleep not caring.
