Chapter 38: Summer Jobs

*Kayla's POV*

I got up and threw on my work outfit which was Jean shorts and a collared shirt. I put my hair up in a ponytail and grabbed my backpack and my name tag then limped out because I still have my boot on. I walked downstairs and grabbed Matt. "Drive me to work." I said. He got in the car and drove me to the restaurant. Yea I'm a waitress working for my uncle. I got out and my phone buzzed.

Daniel❤️🎶: Babe where are you?😩
Me: At work😒
Daniel: Awww😩
Me: I'll see you at 5⏰
Daniel: Okay☺️

I walked inside and got my book thingy and waited. We started to get really busy and me and Justin. Yes Justin Bieber. "Kayla table 5!" My boss yelled. "COMING!" I said running over to the table. "Hi I'm Kayla and I'm your waitress today how can I help you guys?" I asked looking at them. "We already know who you are." Mrs. Skye said. "Oh my god I didn't know it was you guys." I said surprised. "What can I get you to drink?" I asked them.

They ordered their drinks and I walked to the kitchen. "Ah Justin stop!" I laughed as he hugged me from behind. "Get back to work you goof." I said and got my order for another table. I gave the Skye's their drinks and took their order and went to the kitchen. I walked to the table next to Daniel's and took the tip. "Damn Kayla your getting more tips than me." Justin said next to me. "Yea I know because I'm prettier than you!" I said and walked away. "TABLE 5!" The chef said. "Coming." I said. I grabbed the trays and went over to the table. "Okay guys here you go and I'll be right back to see if you are done." I smiled and walked away.

"Kayla clean up table four!" Justin said cleaning table three. "Wait Justin are you going to the studio?" I asked putting the plates in the bin. "Yea after work." he said. "Same." I said. "Well our shifts end in an hour so Matt is going to drive us." I said wiping the table. "Alright." he said. I walked to the Skye's and grabbed their plates. "Would you like the check?" I asked. "Yes thank you Kayla." "Aww your welcome." I said. "YO JUSTIN!" I yelled still standing there. "Sorry." I said and walked away.

"What?" He asked. "Table 6 was looking for you!" I said. I wheeled the tray to the kitchen and got the check. I walked back to the table and gave it to them. "Have a nice day!" I said handing it to them. 'That's all my tables.' I thought. I saw them leave and Daniel look at me. "Bye Daniel." I said. "Bye babe." he said. I walked to their table and grabbed the book. "Woah!" I said and liked at the $20 tip. "Kayla oh my god." Justin said. "Hurry up let's go." I said.

He finished up and I grabbed my bag but got pulled into the office. "Hello Kayla!" "Hello Uncle Rob!" I said. "Well I'm going on vacation and I need you to be the manager and just investigate everything." he said. "If I get paid more yea sure." I laughed. "Yes you do." he said. "Okay I will bye." I said and left. "Let's go Justin." I said walking out to Matt's car. "Studio time!" I said.

We got there and I walked in. I saw Daniel sitting there with Cameron. "Hi guys." I said. I went to hug Daniel but I yeeted him and hugged Cameron. "Sorry Daniel." I said hugging him. "Alright who's first?" I asked sitting in the chair. "Me!" Daniel said and got in the booth. He started singing and I wasn't ready. "IM NOT READY!" I yelled. "Oh I'm sorry." He said. "Now go!" I said. He started singing then Cameron went in. Daniel sat next to me and watched me. He was on snapchat filming me. Cameron finished and Daniel went back in.

"And here we have my beautiful girlfriend working her job making den hunnas!" Daniel said laughing. "Stop!" i said laughing. "Come here." He said and I got up. "What?" I asked. "You look really cute as a waitress." he said rocking me back and forth. "Why thank you." I said. He bent down and kissed me. I kissed back and I heard a click! "Awwww!!" I heard everyone say. I stopped and pulled away and dug my head in his chest. "Madison's here!" He whispered in my ear. "Ignore her you have one more song to do babe!" I said in his ear.

We let go and he went to the booth. I sat down and gave him the signal. He started and kept starring at me and winking. He finished and came out. "Justin your up!" I said. He got in the booth and fell. I laughed and he started laughing. Daniel sat next to me and put his arm around me. I gave Justin the signal and he started singing. Soon he was done and he sat next to Madison talking. "Matt let's go home!" I said. "Daniel do you need a ride?" He asked. "Yea." he said. "Catch." I said and got on his back. "OTP!" Justin yelled.

We got to the car and turned on the music. We were jamming out while driving. "WHERE ARE YOU NOW THAT I NEED YOU!" We sang and stopped at a red light. The car next to us was looking at us and laughing. We got home and I went to bed first thing.
