Chapter 52: Surprise Party

*Kayla's POV*

I woke up to Dynamite tearing off my blanket. "Hey buddy whats up?" I asked playing with him. I went downstairs and saw Matt in his boxers throwing clothes. "Matt calm down what do you need?" I asked. "I need my black and white shirt." He said frustrated. "It's in your closet but why are you so frustrated about Grandpas surprise party?" I asked. "Crystal is coming." He said. "So your girlfriend can come but my boyfriend can't." I said. I grabbed my cereal and went upstairs. "Okay dynamite I need an outfit." I said.

He sat on my bed and tilted his head. I threw on a black and white crop top and black high waisted shorts. I put on my black and white Jordan's and black and white bracelets. I went in the bathroom and brushed my teeth and waved my hair. I walked out and got attacked by dogs. "Hey guys." I said laughing. "KAYLA HELP SET UP GUESTS ARE COMING IN 20 MINUTES!" My mom yelled. I put on mascara then walked downstairs with Dynamite on my trail.

I set up the tables and chairs then people started coming. "Hello." I said hugging them. "Oh my god you've gotten so big." Everyone said to me and Matt. Crystal showed up and Matt ran past everyone and hugged her. "He has a girlfriend?" My uncle asked. "Yea." I said rolling my eyes. "And where's your boyfriend?" He asked. "He's in the studio." I said. "Oh." He said. "KAYLAAAAAA!" Lilly yelled running up to me. "Hi cutie." I said picking her up. I put her down when this really cute kid walked in.

"Matt is he family?" I asked. "No family friend." He said walking away. Dynamite ran up to him and I ran after him and picked him up. "I'm sorry." I said. "It's fine he's a cutie." He said. "Well I'm Kayla and this is Dynamite." I said. "I'm Erik and this is my brother Kyle." He said. "Hi." I said. "Well I got to get his leash and help do you want to help me?" I asked. "Yea sure." He said following me. "Dynamite don't eat that." I said pulling him away from a thorn.

We walked inside and went to my room. I grabbed the leash and put it on Dynamite. "Mom can I walk Dynamite?" I asked. "Yea Grandpa won't be here for another hour so." She said. "Let's go." I said grabbing Erik's hand. We walked down the block and I saw Daniel driving. I waved and he ignored me. "Oh god." I said. "What?" Erik asked. "He's jealous." I said. We walked around some more then went back. Dynamite wasn't tired he never is. "Guys he's here." My mom said. We waited then saw my grandpa walk in. "SURPRISE!!" We yelled. "Oh my gosh." He said.

"Hallo sweetheart." He so as hugging me. "Happy birthday Opa." I said. I helped set up the food when my phone started ringing. I walked to the front and picked it up.

Me: Hello?
Tally💙🎶: Who was that?
Me: A family friend calm down
Tally: why was he with you?
Me: he was helping me walk the dog and set up
Tally: why is he there if he's a family friend?
Me: he knows my Grandpa
Tally: What's his name?
Me: Erik
Tally: I'm coming over
Me: Daniel no stop
Tally: no
Me: Daniel stop
Tally: Kayla can I please just see you and kiss you I promise I won't stay and beat anyone up?
Me: Fine
Tally: YUSSS
Me: bye babe

I hung up and felt these arms wrap around my waist. I turned around and saw Daniel. "Nice sweatpants." I said. "You look absolutely gorgeous today." He said. "Thank you." I said wrapping my arms around his neck. He leaned down and kissed me. I kissed back and he smiled. I pulled away and hugged him. "Babe I have to go." I said. "Nooo please don't." He whined. "I have to eat." I said and let go. "Fine call me or text me." He said and walked next door.

I walked back and got my plate and sat down at a table. "Hey boo." My cousin said. All the kids sat here and I saw Erik sitting with the grownups looking bored. "Hey Erik come sit over here." I said. He got up and sat next to me. I flicked my pasta at Matt and pretended I didn't do it. He was going to flick one back when my mom saw. "Matthew Lee stop it!" She said. He gave me a glare and finished eating. I finished and collected everyone's plates.

I was talking to Erik when Lilly pulled me over to the other side of the pool. "Let's play catch!" She said getting a ball. "Okay." I said throwing the ball. "Can I join you guys?" Erik asked. "Yea sure." I said. We threw the ball then got ready for cake. We sang Happy Birthday then ate it. "So is that your boyfriend over there?" Erik asked.

"How did you know?" I asked. "He's been starring at you all day." He laughed. "That's him." I said. I looked at Daniel in his pool laughing. "Is he the one that gets jealous easily?" He asked. "Oh yea." I laughed. We talked more and laughed more and had fun.

After the party Daniel came over and helped clean up. He kissed me while moving the tables. "Daniel one thing at a time." I said. "I can multi task." He said. I laughed and we finished. "Bye babe." He said and kissed my cheek. "Thank you for helping." I said and kissed him. He left and I went upstairs.
