CHAPTER 21

Chapter 21:
Commotion

"You're a bit impulsive, Heist. Keep your magic more lowkey if you want to surprise your opponent for a powerful attack".

I stop the circulation of my magic and catch my breath. Nilingon ko si Coach Sendo na ngayo'y kumukuha na muli ng panibagong sigarilyo sa maliit na kaha. He puffed the smoke in the air and stared at me.

It's been days since the congratulatory party happened. Tatlong araw na akong nagti-training dito sa Headquarters ng Miracles ng walang masyadong pahinga.

That guy on the corner who's smoking continuously is the head coach of Miracles. Nung una ay hindi pa'ko kumbinsido na sya nga ang nagtuturo sa mga Miracles pero nagbago ang pagkilala ko sa kanya ng magsimula na nya akong turuan.

He is a damn monster when it comes on shaping his students. I felt like his always belittling me for my skills when I'm often doing mistakes. Pakiramdam ko ay ako na ang pinakamahinang nilalang sa mundo sa bawat salitang lumalabas sa bibig nya.

"I don't kill with surprise. I kill on the spot".

Tumawa sya sa sinabi ko. Lantaran ko naman siyang sinamaan ng tingin.

"Feisty huh". aniya bago mapaglarong tumingin sakin.

Tinapon nya ang sigarilyo sa trash bin na na'sa gilid bago tumayo at lumakad palapit sakin.

"You're the second person who told me those words. Wanna know who's the first one?". Umiling ako pero ngumisi lamang sya.

"Prince Levn. You're exactly his other version".

Nag-iba ang pakiramdam ko nang marinig muli ang pangalan nya. After what happened on the lake and what Troye told me. I decided not to think about him anymore or to talk about him with Bria and Troye.

I'm actually happy that those two didn't ask me questions involving his name.

Sa pagkakaalam ko ay busy ang palasyo dahil sa paparating na Winter Solstice or Winter Ball na tradisyon na ng Royal City.

It usually happens in the palace with the invited people. All students and people of Morougwe usually have a three day vacation whenever that day comes.

Maybe that's the reason why I never encountered him these past few days. He is busy preparing for that annual event together with his family.

Pinagpag ko ang damit at hinanda ang sarili sa depensa at magiging opensa ko. Not minding what he said. He languidly smile before coming on my direction with the intuition to kill.

I reverse my sword on my back to my left hand to defend my body. Ang kunai na hawak nya ay gumawa ng ingay matapos bumangga sa maliit kong espada. Umabante sya kaya naman napaatras ako ng ilang hakbang papunta sa pader.

He holds my left wrist with his left hand and tosses his kunai to his right hand and points it on my neck. Hindi ako nakagalaw lalo pa't naramdaman ko sa leeg ang tulis ng kunai na nakututok sakin. I can't move my hands because of his left hand gripping both of it.

"Don't waste your life with a petty attraction to a royalty. It only leads you to your own grave".

Isang matalim na tingin ang binigay ko sa kanya bago sya sinipa ng malakas sa tuhod. He lost his balance that's why I choose to land a punch on his face but he quickly catch my fist before it landed on his face.
