CHAPTER 26

Chapter 26:
Pendant

Rays of the morning sun flash on my face. I slowly open my eyes and stare at the ceiling for a moment. One look and I already knew that I'm in my room.

I sighed before trying to sit up to lean my head on the headboard.

Hindi ko alam kung ilang araw na akong walang malay pero may pakiramdam akong matagal din 'yon. My wounds are already healed. My mana is slowly gaining energy than what I felt back in Black Tower.

I felt so drained back then and ended up fainting because of the waves of emotions I felt all of a sudden.

I massage my temple when fragments of memories pop up in my head out of nowhere. I'm not sure if those memories are true or just because I use my abilities too much and I'm starting to imagine things back there– I don't know.

I felt like there's something missing in my memories... something important... something that I already forgot.

"Tashna Devon Morougwe Caynes".

Napapikit ako ng mariin nang maalala ang pangalan na tinawag sakin ng Oracle na nagpagulo sa isip ko. I don't know if his kidding me or just seeing someone in me that's why he called me that.

I don't know what to think anymore. That waves of memories are giving me so much pain...

Lalo na nang marinig ko ang malamyos na boses na tumawag sa pangalan ko. I'll never forget how soft and elegant she called my name that touch my heart. Her face is blurry but one thing is for sure– she's wearing a gold crown.

Napailing ako. How can a royalty knows me? Why is she on my memories? Is she related to me somehow? Pero wala akong maalalang malapit na kamag-anak ng aking mga magulang.

I grip the sheets covering me while thinking so hard what's going on with my life. Pakiramdam ko ngayon ay hindi ko na kilala ang sarili ko. Pakiramdam ko ay may parte ng pagkatao ko na nawawala... at hindi ko alam kung saan 'yon hahanapin.

Narinig ko ang pagbukas ng pinto pero nanatili pa din akong malalim na nag-iisip. Not until someone familiar hug me tight. I sighed and tap her back while she's crying hard.

"I told you already to come back safe! What are you thinking, huh? Nakakainis ka!". Kumalas si Bria sa pagyakap sakin at marahas na pinunasan ang mga luha nya.

"I'm sorry". Marahan kong sinabi sa kanya pero kita ko pa din ang pag-aalala sa mukha nito bago ako sinamaan ng tingin.

"I almost fainted too when I saw you unconscious and blood are all over your body! Kung hindi lamang ako pinakalma ni Troye ay ba'ka inatake na'ko sa puso. I'm thankful that Prince Levn told me your alive and just need healing magic to regain your mana. You look lifeless that time, Tashna".

"I'm sorry...". I told her once again.

Dinig ko ang buntong hininga nya bago hinawakan ang kamay ko.

"I don't want to see you in that state again. That's a total nightmare to me... pakiramdam ko ay anytime mawawala ka sakin...sa amin...sobrang hina ng pulso mo nang pinunta ka ni Prince Levn sa royal infirmary. Troye is worried too but he trust you that your going back to us".

"How long I've been unconscious?". Tanong ko.

"Three days".

Napahinga ako ng malalim at binaba ang tingin sa kumot na nakabalot sa hita ko.

"What really happened? Miracles told us some parts but I think it's not enough".

"I lost my control... I lost all of my patience when I saw those two people that killed Quin and Freed. I didn't think rationally back there and all I want is to kill them both...". My voice cracked and she held onto my hand tight.
