Chapter 28:
Attacked

The cold breeze of the night gave me chills as I walked inside the palace. Genesis told me that they're already inside where the banquet is currently holding.

I'm late, I know. Medyo natagalan ako sa pag-aayos ng sarili lalo pa't wala si Felise para tumulong sakin.

Ngumiti ako sa kawal ng magalang nya akong binati at pinagbuksan ng pinto. Sumalubong sa akin ang napakagarang dekorasyon at mga piling mayayamang pamilya na kasalukuyang nagkakasiyahan sa loob.

The elegant ambiance and high end fragrance that dominates the whole area gives me a soothing feeling.

The huge event hall of the palace filled with white and crystals — emphasizing the theme of Winter Solstice.

Kumuha ako ng champagne sa isang tagapagsilbi na nag-iikot ikot sa buong lugar bago hinanap ng mga mata ko ang table ng Miracles. Hindi naman ako nahirapang hanapin sila gamit ang mga mata ko dahil sa lakas ng presensya nila at ng kanilang mga suot.

Kairo looks so bored as hell while having a staring contest with champagne in his hand. Reese who's beside him is looking amused and fascinated at the elite people who're coming back in front near their table.

Genesis on the other hand is with her normal straight face and looks like she's planning to leave at any moment. While Beta beside her is busy flirting with girls near his age.

Kumunot ang noo ko ng mapansing wala ang isang taong gusto kong makita. That guy made me so speechless on that day when he asked me to be his date at this event.

I knew he was serious when he asked me that question so I just answered him "Yes", like what I said back then, that Crown Prince will never accept 'no' as an answer.

Well, I'd still say 'yes' too even when he's kidding me, though.

"You look stunning and gorgeous, my love". Reese told me when I decided to go to our table. I sat beside her and scanned her look tonight.

"You look good too". I told her.

"Saang parte, Tash?". Banat naman ni Beta kaya agad nawala ang magandang ngiti ni Reese.

"Nakakahiya naman sa natural mong pangit na mukha, Beta". Balik ni Reese sa kanya.

Beta teasingly looked at Reese.

"I was born handsome and I know it, Reese. Thanks to my parents genes".

"Mukha ka ngang ampon". Reese fired at him.

"Ang sama ng ugali mo!". Beta shout at her.

"Be quite children". Pang-aasar naman ni Genesis sa dalawa.

Napailing na lamang ako ng sumali din si Kairo sa asaran kaya ang ibang tao ay napapatingin na sa gawi namin.

"Tone it down you short-tempered brats". Saway ko sa kanila.

"Look who's talking". Kairo muttered.

Mabilis ko syang sinamaan ng tingin pero ngumisi lamang sya sakin.

I sighed. "I'm sorry".

He looks at me confused. "For what?".

"For hurting you back then". I said, sincerity is in my voice.

"You're forgiven". He said calmly.

"That's easy?". I asked.

Hindi makapaniwala dahil ang inaasahan ko ay hindi nya tatanggapin ang paumanhin ko dahil nasaktan ko sya, not to add the fact that his a Prince. A fucking royalty.
