Chapter 35

It took weeks for me to decide on agreeing with CJ to meet his parents. I'm so nervous even here in his car at papunta na kami sa bahay nila kasi birthday daw ng Mommy niya and it's the perfect timing for me to meet his parents because it will just be a simple dinner.

"Babe, I'm nervous," I hold his arm while he's driving kasi kinakabahan talaga ako.

"It's gonna be fine, hold me," he intertwined his fingers to mine while he's driving.

This is my first meeting his parents. In my past relationship, hindi naman ako pinakilala sa mga magulang niya kaya abot langit 'yong kaba ko. I find his mom intimidating base on his stories before.

I'm just a decent dress and I make sure that I look so clean. First impression matters and it all starts with the way I look with the clothes that I'm wearing.

I keep on calming myself down while we're on our way to their house and thanks with his hands kaya naiibsan 'yong kaba ko.

"We're here, babe," sabi niya bago siya bumaba ng kotse para pagbuksan ako.

I get out of the car with the little present that I bought last week since it's his mom's birthday. Just a little present and then he holds my hand before started walking inside.

Anlaki ng bahay nila. I swear looks like a hundred people can live in this house and there's even a fountain and a lot cars parked in the side. Tapos masyadong malinis at mabango dahil sa mga bulalak sa may garden.

"Feelin' better?" he asked while were walking holding hands.

"Yes, feelin' better," I sighed deeply when we finally stepped inside the house.

He guided me in stepping down and I didn't know that the design of their house was Korean inspired. Their interior was korean inspired design. Medyo nawawal na 'yong kaba ko at pagkapasok ko sa loob wala namang tao sa may mesa.

"Yaya? where's mom and dad?" he asked that not-so-old woman in the side.

"Naku, hijo. Sabi niya na may emergency daw sa ospital kaya kailangan niyang umalis para asikasuhin 'yong pasyente at 'yong daddy mo naman, may meeting daw kaya nagmamadaling umalis" she said and CJ was quite disappointed but calm his again after a minute then he faced me.

"Babe, I'm sorry-

"It's fine. Don't worry about me. How about we will just eat the food prepared at the table?" I smiled at him holding his arm.

"You're n-not mad?"

"Of course not, I understand. There's still a lot of next time. Don't worry," I gave him an assurance look na okay lang ako.

Okay lang naman talaga kasi kailangan naman niyang pumunta doon to save lives tapos importante naman talaga 'yong meeting ng Daddy niya baka sa business niya 'yon, why would I be mad?

He pulled the chair for me and then I just take a video of him singing a happy birthday just like his mom is here then he blew the candle for her. Sayang rin naman kung hindi namin kakainin 'yong pagkain sa mesa.

"Yaya, kumain na po ba kayo?" tanong niya sa Yaya niya na nasa gilid.

"Oo, anak. Kumain na ako. Kumain na kayo, tulungan na kita diyan," she attempts to hold the pitcher.

"Oh no, you sit down. You should relax, I can do this, Yaya," CJ is very kind to every people around him even the way he is talking to his Yaya.

"By the way, Yaya. This is my girlfriend, Veronica," he introduced me to her.

"Good Evening, tita," I greeted with a smile on my face at nagmano ako sa kanya kasi nawala na kanina kasi CJ kasi.

"Kaawaan ka ng Diyos, hija. Alam mo bang ikaw ang unang babaeng dinala ni CJ dito? ikaw pala 'yong sinasabi niya, panay kwento niyan sa'kin tungkol sa'yo," oh, I didn't expect that.
