Chapter 36

"Stop the car, CJ," I said unconsciously while looking at them.

Hindi 'to kathang isip. Totoo 'tong nakikita ko. I'm sure I'm not crazy or paranoid.

"What? Why--

"I said stop the car!" I immediately cut him off at agad naman niyang hininto 'yong kotse at tumingin kung saan ko sila nakita kanina.

There were no people in there.

How is that even possible?! kitang kita ko! andun siya! sigurado ako si Mommy 'yon! so, she's cheating with my dad, huh?!

Kung hindi ko siya makikita sa bahay pag uwi ko, talagang hindi ko na alam ang gagawin ko.

"Babe, what's wrong?" CJ asked me when he followed me outside at naglilibot parin ako ng tingin kasi wala talagang tao.

"No, nothing. Let's go home," agad na akong pumasok sa loob ng kotse at sumunod naman siya.

"Are you sure? you're not looking fine," he's worried and concerned.

"I am fine, don't worry," I lied because I don't want to bother him with this.

This is a family issue. CJ should not be worrying about this. Masyado nang hahaba ang usupan kung sasabihin ko pa sa kanya.

Abot langit 'yong kaba ko habang pauwi kami sa bahay base doon sa nakita ko. Sana hindi siya, kasi hindi ko na alam kung kaya ko pang respituhin siya bilang ina. I love my dad so much that I don't want him to see tears in his eyes again. I don't wanna see him crying again.

Fortunately, CJ was not bothering me. Looks like he already knew that I'm lying when I said that I'm fine. Malalim ang iniisip ko at mas lalo pang lumakas ang kabog ng dibdib ko nang makita ko 'yong bahay namin at andito na kami at hininto na ni CJ ang kotse niya.

I sighed deeply and I didn't wait for him to open the car for me. Deritso na akong bumaba at pumasok sa loob. CJ followed me inside and I saw my dad sitting on the sofa of the living room.

"Where's mom?" I asked him at tinuro niya 'yong kwarto nila sa taas kaya agad akong umakyat sa taas.

"Mom!" I knocked on the door because it's locked.

"Mom, open the door!" I knocked like a light punch and after two minutes of knocking...

She finally opens the door and she's just bathed. She's wearing a bathrobe and a towel on her hair.

"Veronica, bakit?" inosente niyang tanong at unti unti nang kumalma ang sarili ko dahil nakita kong andito siya.

I didn't answer her, I just went straight to my room and laid in my bed. She's here which means, I'm hallucinating now? that woman I saw earlier was her, that's definitely her. Hindi ako pwedeng magkamali pero andito siya kaya dapat hindi ko na isipin. Andito siya, hindi niya niloloko si Daddy.

"Babe," I heard CJ's voice knocking on the door and I just get up, open the door, and hugged him tightly.

"Something is bothering you, I know that you're still not comfortable in telling me. I hope this makes you feel better," he hugged me back giving that slowly calms me down.

I closed my eyes that let myself calm down between his arms. I just don't want him to worry about anything. Ayoko nang dumagdag pa sa mga problema. When I managed to calm down myself, I went downstairs pero tulala parin talaga ako. Gusto ko nang hindi isipin pero talagang bumalik at bumalik talaga sa isip 'yong nakita ko.

"Anak, okay lang ba? parang balisa ka" dad.

"I'm okay, dad. I'm just not feeling well," I leaned on CJ's shoulders while were here sitting on the sofa in the living room.
