The car slowly started to stop as they arrived at their destination. It was an unassuming house, a two story house made out of bricks like the rest of the buildings next to it. All of the windows were closed and covered, some with blinds, others with more unconventional means, such as cardboard or wood.
Paperjam gave the house a confused stare, before turning to look at the other two people in the car. Both Erratum and Error looked unsurprised, though Error did seem a bit put-off. "You weren't lying about that, were you?" Error commented. Despite the vagueness of his words, both Erratum and Paperjam understood what he meant, or at least thought they did. "i waS sUrpRisED ToO. doN'T woRRy, THe InSIde LookS muCH diFFerENt" Erratum informed them, opening his door.
Paperjam exited through the left, hesitantly walking behind Error, who had gotten out before him. All three of the walked to the entrance of the house, "dOn't toUch ANyTHiNG- apPareiL woN'T lIke It" Erratum warned them, knocking on the door not even a second later. A crashing sound was heard, along with a cry of surprise, most likely a man from the voice.
A few seconds later, a human stood in the doorway. He had dark hair, which was a mess, and vibrant purple eyes, much like the colour of Emilio's hair, Paperjam thought. "-Ah! pardon! I had forgotten you were arriving today" The cheerful man apologized, giving them a large smile.
Paperjam took the man in. His clothes, which reminded Paperjam of the cliché doctor's outfits they had used in drama class, were crumpled. "It's FiNe. yOu OKaY rAIniER? wE hEARd A cRAsh" Erratum asked, frowning. The man, Rainier, gave them a confused look, before nodding, "oui, I am fine, Just a little accident is all" Rainier told Erratum, waving them inside.
When they reached what seemed to be the main room, Rainier glanced at Paperjam and Error. "You've brought new friends?" Rainier questioned, picking up a pile of papers. Erratum nodded, though Rainier didn't see it, "yEs. ThIs Is ErRoR, anD PAPerjAM" Erratum told the Scientist.
Rainier aggressively shoved the pile of paper into a draw that was full already, it barely fitting. Paperjam looked at the man, slightly nervous. He didn't particularly like people this cheerful. He turned back to the three of them, and walked back up to them, shaking his dad's hand vigorously. "Bonjour Error!" Rainier greeted, "Erratum would have already told you- but I am Rainier!" Rainier smiled.
The man then turned to Paperjam. He was taller than him, Paperjam noted to himself. "and Hello to you! Paperjam, oui?" Rainier asked rhetorically. Paperjam nodded, "yep, that's me" Paperjam glanced around the room as he said this.
Erratum hummed, "YoU SaiD yOu neEDeD mE FoR soMEthIng?" Erratum asked, giving Rainier a curious expression. Rainier seemed to get even more excited than before, clapping his hands as if he remembered something. "Yes! come over here, I need to show you something" Rainier ran over to a large complicated metal box, which had a large tube on top of it. Paperjam frowned, having never seen anything like it before.
Rainier pulled Erratum right beside him, facing the box. Error and Paperjam stood behind the two awkwardly, unsure of what to do with themselves. "Look! Regarde ça!" Rainier exclaimed. Erratum glanced at the box, just as confused on what the thing was as the rest of them were. "uH, HoW?" Erratum gave Rainier a sheepish look.
"oh- yes, Put your eye...here" Rainier told Erratum, leading the glitching skeleton's right eye on the tall tube. Paperjam frowned thoughtfully, "Is it a microscope?" He muttered to himself. Erratum kept his eye on the box for a few long moments, and with each second Rainier seemed to get even more excitable. Paperjam almost started to worry the man would burst.
When Erratum lifted his head, he seemed confused- but more importantly, he seemed thrilled. "Do you see it, voyageur?" Rainier whispered, practically bouncing. Erratum seemed unable to answer, before a large grin spread on his face. "DoES thIs mEAN whAT i thInK iT mEANS?" Erratum questioned the human scientist, gaining multiple nods in response.
