Paperjam impatiently watched as Rainier and Appareil connected sans to the machine carefully, gripping his satchel in nervousness. His dad looked over to Erratum, giving him a reassuring smile, "You excited?" Error asked him, looking back to the two scientist's briefly. Erratum gave a slow nod, and hummed slightly, "YeAH, anD nERvOuS" He informed Paperjam's dad, frowning.

Error grinned at Erratum, grabbing his hand and squeezing it slightly, making Paperjam roll his eye-lights at the display, "that's understandable" He told Erratum. Mr. Nightmare, or rather, Nightmare, as they had insisted after Paperjam had graduated, stood on the other side of Error, nodding in agreement, "You haven't been there in three years, I'd be more surprised if you weren't" Nightmare commented. Blue huffed, "helpful Nightmare, really" He said, crossing his arms.

Paperjam could see Erratum smile, before looking back to the two scientist's in front of them, "aRe yOu ALl sUre yOu sTILl WanT tO coMe?" Erratum asked, giving his friends a questioning look. Nightmare rolled his eyes, "Of course we are. Not all of us are chickens like somebody" He snarked, mocking offence. A loud, "Hey!" was heard beside him from Ink, making the other skeleton's turn to them.

"I didn't chicken out" Ink exclaimed, giving the other a glare. Erratum spoke up again before they could continue, "STop It yOu twO, iT's FInE" He told Ink, "ANyWAy, SoMEoNe Has tO KeEP SanS ComPaNY" Erratum added, pointing at the older skeleton sitting beside the black contraption.

His dad nodded, "And someone has to drive Paperjam home" he commented, gaining a glare from Paperjam, "Hey, I can drive you know" He reminded Error, forcing an exasperated look to appear on the skeleton's face. "Barely" His dad corrected, sounding displeased.

Erratum glanced at Error, grinning. "yOu'RE nOt MuCH bEttER yOu KnOw" He teased, making the other skeletons in the room chuckle, "Hey-" His dad started, but was interrupted by Nightmare, "Thinking about it, I wouldn't trust a single person in your family with a car" Nightmare crossed his arms, a thoughtful look on his face. Blue nodded, "Yeah, It might be genetic" he added, grinning at the betrayed look on Error's face.

An impatient cough was heard from the other side of the room. Beside the machine, Appareil stood, looking at them with his arms crossed, "Everything's ready" Appareil told the group, causing a stiff silence to fall on them. Erratum sighed, before nodding, "OKaY, Let'S dO THiS" He stated, a determined expression appearing on his face.

Paperjam stared at the machine as the group walked forward. Appareil nodded at them, turning around to look at Rainier. "Start the machine" He ordered his younger brother, stepping away from the contraption. Sans huffed nervously, "This isn't worrying at all" He joked quietly, feet tapping the floor erratically. He was ignored.

Rainier did as Appareil said, turning the machine on before stepping away, standing beside the other scientist. A strange humming noise filled the room, slowly getting louder, until a large, bright beam, a beam that glowed unlike anything Paperjam had seen before, shot out of the machine. Everyone instinctively covered their eyes, with the sound of Nightmare swearing loudly filling their ears, not removing their hands until the noise was gone.

Erratum was the first to drop his hands. Standing in front of them was a black portal, larger than Paperjam expected it to be. It was emitting a strange, faint but distracting purple light, making it look menacing and dangerous.  Nightmare huffed, a nervous edge to his voice, "We're going through that?" He questioned, eyeing the portal.

Erratum let out a worried, slightly shaky sigh, before composing himself. "wEll, i'm reaDY tO gO WHenEVer YoU alL ArE" He said quietly, staring at the portal intently. Blue huffed, "Took you long enough" He joked, making Erratum chuckle. The skeleton paused, then looked over to Pigment, "YoU ReAdY?" Erratum asked, gaining a strong nod from the other God.
