Ever since Dust had came to the conclusion that his crush on Mr. Blue was only going to hurt him, he had been strangely... Okay. Of course, he couldn't look Mr. Blue in the eye, nor could he say his name without messing up, but other than that, Dust was not as upset as he would have thought he would have been.
Because honestly, deep down, Dust knew that somewhere, he knew that it was hopeless for a much longer time than he would admit. Somewhere, deep inside of him, he always knew that Mr. Blue saw him nothing more than as a good student who liked to cook.
And as he said before, he was okay with that. It hurt, it hurt more than anything Dust had felt in a long time, but he was okay, he was actually okay.
Dust sighed as the bell went off, signaling that it was time to go home. It was Tuesday, so he was, unluckily for him, In food tech. Mr. Blue said something, though Dust wouldn't be able to tell you what, as he was trying to pay as little attention to him as possible, and the class stood up.
"Dust, can I talk to you?" Mr. Blue took him out of his thoughts. The teacher had a small frown on his face, and seemed worried. Paperjam, who was on the same oven as him, (Number 6), gave him a confused look, but didn't bother to stay, quietly leaving the room.
Once everyone left, Dust asked, "You wanted something, Mr. Blue?" He asked, looking up at the teacher. Mr. Blue smiled, "I just wanted to ask if anything was wrong" Mr. Blue said, "You've been acting unusual recently, and i just wanted to know if there was anything I can do" Mr. Blue asked Dust, frowning.
Dust fiddled with his bag, and then shook his head. "I don't know what you mean, I'm fine" Dust told Mr. Blue, smiling at the teacher. Mr. Blue went to say something, but was cut of by the door opening, revealing Mr. Reaper.
Mr. Reaper looked over to Mr. Blue, and the to Dust. "hello Blue, Mr. Execution" Mr. Reaper greeted casually, waving a coffee cup around. Mr. Blue seemed surprised at Mr. Reaper's appearance, but quickly said, "Hi Reaper! Is there something you need?" He asked.
Mr. Reaper nodded, "have you seen Geno? he's not in his classroom, I know he likes to come here every once in awhile" Mr. Reaper told Mr. Blue. Mr. Blue shook his head, and asked, "Have you checked the staff room?" Mr. Blue questioned.
"Uh, I've got to go now" Dust told Mr. Blue. The teacher turned back to Dust, and smiled, "yes, of course, See you tomorrow Dust" Mr. Blue told him. Dust nodded tensely, and speed walked out of the room.
Walking out of school, Dust looked at the time and sighed, he knew he was going to be late home. Making a sound of anger, Dust took his bag off and reached in for his phone, to tell his dad he might be late.
After he did that, Dust put his bag back on and started to walk home. Dust was lost in thought, once again thinking about Mr. Blue. He also briefly thought about his friends, about Paperjam, and then about Emilio.
He thought about Mr. Erratum, and where he came from. He thought about the enigma, Pigment, and what kind of person he was, about what he had done, and how Mr. Erratum still treated him like a normal person. He thought about Horror, and then about his friends father, questioning how a man could be so horrid.
It really wasn't that much of a surprise that he had managed to walk into someone. He really shouldn't of been walking around like that.
He banged into someone, a boy, by the other's voice. Dust had fell onto the floor, while the other had managed to stay on his feet. Dust looked up, and saw a skeleton, about two or so years older than him, in a black and blue uniform.
Dust instantly recognized the uniform, It was the all monster's school uniform; Monetener secondary school for Monsters.
He had red eyes, and a rather nasty scar on one of his eyes. He seemed surprised, similar to how Dust felt at the moment, and while he seemed to look annoyed, it wasn't directed at him. Scattering off the ground, Dust looked at the skeleton, who was taller than him, much more taller than him. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bump into you" Dust apologized, frowning.
The skeleton seemed surprised he was apologizing, and quickly replied, "No, It's okay, you didn't mean anything by it" The skeleton told him, grinning at him. Dust felt his shoulders fall in relief, he was glad the skeleton wasn't mad.
"No uniform?" The skeleton said, "You must go to that school..." He paused, and frowned. "Underster" Dust told him, gripping onto his bag. The skeleton grinned, "Well, I'm Razz, what's your name?" The skeleton, Razz, asked, "uh, Dust" Dust replied, smiling slightly.
Razz grinned, "Cool name dude" Razz commented. Dust looked away, "uh, thanks... I guess?" Dust replied, awkwardly. Razz looked away, "Well, I've got to go home, bye Dust!" Razz waved, leaving a confused Dust alone.
