Error had been watching his fiancé for a while now. Of course, Not in the creepy, stalking way, but in a way that let him know more about the man he was going to marry.
While doing this, he had learned many things about Erratum that he previously didn't know. One of the things he learned was that Erratum talk to himself, regularly. Of course, that in it's self wasn't that concerning, it was that it sounded like he was having a conversation, and by his expressions, he didn't enjoy them.
After figuring this out, Error wasn't as surprised as he thought he would have been. Of course, learning that your fiancé might not be the most sane would upset a few, but Error always had a feeling there was something about Erratum, something that made him not completely normal.
That wasn't the only thing he learned. He saw that Erratum liked to chew on the end of his pen when he was overly focused, and that Erratum liked to daydream a lot. None of this made Error see Erratum in a new light, if fact, watching Erratum like this only reminded him on why he fell in love with the skeleton in the first place.
There was one more thing he learnt, that there was a certain skeleton who seemed very close to Erratum. His name was Pigment, apparently. They seemed to be very close, and not just 'friend' close, Error was talking about 'touchy' close.
They seemed to touch each other a lot, whether that be holding hands, touching the others shoulder, hugging (which didn't happen often, but they'd hugged more than anyone other than himself and Erratum had) and he had even seen Pigment fall asleep on Erratum once (It seemed to have freaked out Erratum at first, but he quickly got over it).
What made this worse, is that Erratum seemed to be the one to start most, if not all, of this.
They were close, that much Error could tell. Erratum, although it had got tremendously better, still felt awkward with people touching him.
Well, it wasn't like they touched each other often, It was just more often than he would of liked.
Error sighed, he looked over to Erratum, who was talking to Pigment, again. Error mumbled something unintelligible, and quickly turned his head. Error grumbled, 'Why's he even here?' He thought, 'He's not a teacher' Error added.
At times, it even felt like this Pigment character knew Erratum more than Error himself did.
Oh... he was jealous, wasn't he?
Well, no one could blame him, could they? Or was he just being irrational?
Maybe he would talk to Erratum later.
When Error said later, he really meant three weeks later. Those past three weeks consisted of Error heavily procrastinating talking to his fiancé, and watching said fiancé talk to the source of his problems.
Well, okay. That might be over exaggerating it, But there was something about the way Erratum and Pigment talked that just rubbed him the wrong way.
And so, He was now standing in front of Erratum's classroom, questioning once again if he was actually going to ask Erratum about Pigment.
Error sighed. He started to turn his back, but he stopped when he heard the door open. Error looked back at the door, to see a highly amused Erratum. "I'M AsSuMiNg YoU wANt To ASk SOmeTHinG?" Erratum asked. Error stayed silent. 'Come on Error...' Error thought.
Error sighed, again, and answered, "Uh, Yeah" He spoke, "Can, can I come in?" Error asked. Erratum smiled, and nodded, letting him into the empty classroom.
Erratum sat down on a chair, " SomEThInGs bOtHeRiNg yOu" Erratum stated. Error shrugged, "Is it that obvious?" Error asked, mildly surprised. Erratum smiled, "yeAh, To Me aT lEast" Erratum admitted. Erratum stopped smiling, his face falling into a more calm expression. "I COuLd TeLL soMethiNg wAS BOthERiNg YoU, BuT I ThOuGHt iT waS bESt If yOu CamE anD AsKed mE yoUrsElf" Erratum confessed, almost as if he was embarrassed.
Error didn't answer, but when Erratum didn't continue, It was obvious that the other skeleton wanted him to start. "uh, well" Error stumbled, not sure on what to say.
He could feel his face get hotter, and a pale yellow spread across his face. He didn't think about it before, but now the thought of telling Erratum something so childish made him embarrassed.
Erratum sat there patiently, and silently. "I just..." Error paused. What did he want? did he want Erratum to explain who Pigment was to him? or Just who Pigment was in general? Or did he just want Erratum to reassure him that he loved him, like he was some baby?
"Uh, I just- What does Pigment mean to you?" Error blurted out. Erratum seemed mildly surprised, but he quickly smiled. "iS tHiS WhAT's BeEN bOthERiNg YOu?" Erratum asked, seemingly amused. Error glared, "What? What's so funny?" Error scowled.
Erratum calmed down, and looked a little more serious. "Me AnD pIgMenT HavE A cOmplIcaTed rElatIonShIp" Erratum started. "You didn't date, did you?" Error asked. Erratum laughed, "Oh, no. That would never work out" Erratum said quietly. Error nodded, waiting for him to continue. "HonEsTLy, thE onlY WAY I coUld reAlly ExPLaiN iT iS tHat I tHiNk oF hIm aS A bROthER?" Erratum told Error, not sounding to sure of himself.
"WeLl, I Can'T RealLy eXplAIn iT" Erratum said. "No mAtTER WhAT hE DoeS, I CAN't hATe HiM foR It" Erratum spoke, "AlL I caN fEeL iS An OveRwhElmINg senSe Of pItY" Erratum finished.
Error didn't really understand it, And he really wanted to ask Erratum what he meant. But, for some reason, Error felt like, even if he asked, he wouldn't get an answer.
He would just have to wait until Erratum wanted to tell him. And he would wait as long as he had to, and he would accept everything, even if he didn't like it.
Because after all, even with all of Erratum's strange quirks and secrets, he still loved him.
And he would continue to, no matter what.
