Forever and Always - SHOTOXOC (Eng Ver.)

Chapter One

"Go. Go. Let's go. Let's go. Dateko."

From the stands you can hear the anthem perpetually echoing, which inevitably leads me to exasperation.

"I hate it when they do that. It gets in your
brain and you keep repeating it for days." I say turning my gaze towards Kyioko.
She sneers before turning her attention back to the boys who are coming towards us.
"MEI! DID YOU SEE THAT AWESOME DUNK I DID?" Shoyo asks me jumping from side to side with way too much energy.

"Of course I saw it." I tell him smiling and then hand him his water bottle.
My gaze crosses Tobio's to whom I give a sweet smile.
The setter blushes slightly before hugging me and holding me close to him.

"Mei, it's time to get up." Fuyumi says to me.
Wait, Fuyumi?

"Mei."No, don't wake up. Not right now. Tobio is hugging me. No!I mumble something that should be a "five more minutes" but it comes out more like a whine.I open one eye slightly only to see the face of my best friend's sister smiling at me.

"Well awake sleepyhead. I've been trying to wake you up for a while now." She tells me as she sits up on the bed.

I stretch, yawning loudly. I sit up in bed trying to figure out where I am, who I am, what time it is and why I am there.I don't get good results.As much as I love this girl with all my heart, I would gladly throttle her for interrupting my amazing dream."Please Fuyu, give me a good reason why you woke me up. And why you're in my house." I ask yawning again and getting out of bed at a slowness that not even Sid.
"I'm in your house because as much as both your parents and Shoto tried to wake you up, they were unsuccessful, so since I adore you, I've come to save your ass."Save my ass...for what?"I just woke up, cut to the chase please.""You were supposed to be at U.A. about 15 minutes ago. Or did you forget?" He nonchalantly communicates to me.

Oh yeah.

OMG."WHY DIDN'T YOU WAKE ME UP SOONER! I CAN'T BE LATE ON THE FIRST DAY!" I yell as I run into the bathroom, with my new uniform, to get cleaned up.

Not that it's anything different for me. I have a small flaw which is that I oversleep and that in important situations, like today, proves to be a problem. In all the important events I found myself not waking up and having Shoto come and call me. It's always been like that.

Our relationship works well because of that. He makes me more responsible I, on the other hand, well, I make him live more quietly and try to make him smile.In the meantime I brush my teeth, Fuyumi joins me in the bathroom and helps me fix my hair."You know you're an angel right?" I tell her making eyes at her as I slip on my skirt."Up until ten minutes ago you wanted to kill me because I woke you up. Do you realize that?"

"But that doesn't count. You know I adore you anytime, anyhow."

I run out of the bathroom retrieving my backpack on the fly and then head to the lobby."Okay I think I have everything. Now I just have to run faster than Shoyo crushes and maybe I won't get a detention on my first day." I say slipping on my shoes.

"Here you go." I look up at Fuyumi who hands me a bag with food in it. He remembered it again today, I think to myself, giving a small smile.

"You know he never forgets to make you breakfast." She smiles at me and I gratefully take the sandwich that was prepared for me, like every morning before school, by my best friend.

Carefully, every day, the heterochromatic boy would prepare my breakfast, then bring it to me and carefully watch for me to eat it on the way to school.

That's because I have a bad habit of skipping breakfast, so she makes sure I eat it.I give the girl a quick kiss on the cheek before slipping on my headphones and getting ready to run.

I cough, trying to catch my breath, in front of the huge door to my classroom. It's 8:45, so technically I'm only 15 minutes late.I take a deep breath and mentally prepare myself for the situation I'll be facing.Come on Mei, open this door and face the situation. You are strong. You are legendary. You can do this.How dramatic am I? It's just a door!

I open it with all my confidence, but I put too much force into it and end up slamming it on the other side.

Late. And I'm also destroying the school.All eyes are on me and the poor door that did nothing wrong.Siri, how do I turn invisible?Doesn't WikiHow have a solution for that too?"You must be Mei Takeda right?"My gaze lifts to a man with long black hair and a huge scarf around his neck.Will he be a professor?

"It depends on the circumstances. If there will be consequences for being late, no it's not me. If, on the other hand, we plan to get over it since it's the first day and have a laugh about it when it's graduation day, then sure I'm Mei Takeda."

I hear snickers coming from a few classmates while I can only hope that the professor has some sense of humor and appreciates the joke.But I get nothing but an impassive look."Yes, it's Mei Takeda." I hear a voice say from the back. But I know that voice.

"You dirty traitor that you are. You're worse than Reiner and Birth Control." I say pointing to the boy with the half-hair.

"You didn't wait for me!"I cross my arms over my chest, expecting an apology."Are you seriously going to discuss this now? In front of the whole class? And a professor? After being late and almost breaking a door?" Shoto asks.

I can't help but shut up. He knows very well that he is right and it satisfies him quite a bit.

"We don't have time for this. Here."The professor hands me a blue and white tracksuit."Put it on immediately. And then get out for PE."

And without another word he walks out of the classroom, leaving us all speechless.At least I avoided detention.For now.
