"'Usui, I have something to tell you...' NO. NO. He can't end the chapter like this! He can't leave me like this! Damn manga. Damn Mangaka. DAMN SHOJO! DIE!"
Small note to you: if you ever develop a quirk of telepathy and have the ability to read people's thoughts, well, do it!

That's how I just found out that Bakugo likes Shojo manga and is also a fan of Maid Sama. So while Present Mic is trying to explain something to us in English, I stay staring at Katsuki with my mouth open and eyes wide. The boy probably feels fixated, because he turns to me and gives me a hateful look.
Someone woke up on the wrong foot today.

In his case I would say every day.

Shoto slaps me in the back of the head bringing me back to reality. I look at him raising my hands in protest.

"Pay attention instead of staring at Bakugo." He tells me earnestly.
"Who are you? My mother?" He doesn't even answer me and goes back to making notes in his notebook.
I snort audibly before resting my head on my palm and staring blankly at the blackboard.
I pull out my cell phone and so text Bakugo to annoy him.

Megamind 😒
Was the chapter good?

Freak😒
What about you..? How? YOU USED YOUR QUIRK ON ME DIDN'T YOU?

Megamind 😒
🤷🏻‍♀️

I snicker slightly before receiving another slap on the back of the neck from my best friend who in turn receives one from me on the arm.
The bell rings giving me a moment of serenity before the next class.
I stretch my arms and rock back slightly in my chair.
Shoto turns his head slightly toward me before returning to his notes.

"Watch you fall down." The boy says to me.
"No way! Look what I know..."
I don't have time to finish the sentence that I fall ruinously backwards, slamming my butt on the floor.
Laughter rises in the class as a worried Ochako comes toward me.
"Mei! Are you okay?"
I lightly rub my right buttock with a pained face as the blond man approaches from the other side of the classroom.

"I have to admit it was worth getting up this morning just to see this." He says crossing his arms over his chest with his usual slapping face.
"Shut up mugged Usui!" I reply, gladly accepting Ochako's hand as she helps me up.

"I know it shouldn't be said but, I told you so." Shoto says to me, resting a hand on my shoulder.
"Are you okay?" He asks me softening his gaze.
And if until a few seconds ago I wanted to throw him across the room, now my heart can only melt at his concern.
I blush slightly before nodding and giving him a smile.

Shoto rests a hand on my head before giving me a little pat and ruffling my hair a little.
This only makes my already obvious blush worse.
Ochako laughs under her breath while Bakugo, quite fed up with the scene before him, snorts audibly and leaves.
Our moment is interrupted by Prof Aizawa's entrance into the classroom.

"We must move on to the election of the class representative!" Aizawa announces, triggering shouts of joy from almost the entire class.
Everyone starts shouting their names and running for potential representative until Iida takes the floor and proposes a vote.

I nod at the proposal actually being very good.
They hand out the papers on which to write the name of the classmate we give our vote to.
I start looking around and thinking about who might be best suited.
Mr. Manliness and his friend Pikachu I would say are the first ones we discard, as are Grape Juice and the scotch dispenser.

Shoto would be terrible at interacting with others no matter how responsible I might be, and I would never vote for myself.
I turn to my left and see Momo writing a name and carefully folding the paper.
Momo would be perfect as a representative. She is a proper, responsible girl and always acts with precision.
I smile to myself before writing her name on the paper.

Mina comes by to collect all the slips, so I get up to help her count the various votes.

"So the representative is Midoriya and the deputy Yaoyorozu." Communicates Aizawa to the rest of the class.
The poor boy is all red and shaking. I don't understand who could have given him his grades! I mean it was more Iida and Momo instead of Midoriya.

"Who did you vote for?" I ask Shoto as I head with him toward the cafeteria.
"Theoretically they are anonymous." The boy points out to me.
"Oh come on it's me anyway. I voted for Momo! I'm glad she's the deputy!" I tell him, clapping my hands lightly.

He shakes his head.
"I voted you." His statement slightly disconcerts me.
"Me? But you always said I was irresponsible!"
"That's true. But I also have so much confidence in you and I know your determination so I knew you would perform that task to the best of your ability! You should have more confidence in your abilities Mei."

His words almost move me to tears. I knew Shoto had a good opinion of me, but I didn't imagine it this way.
I give him a big smile thanking him.
We both enter the cafeteria and head to a fairly quiet table.
"Tell you what, do you really think I should change my hero costume?" Shoto asks me after a while.

I lock my chopsticks in mid-air and gently place them on the plate.
"Do you want the truth as a friend or what you would like to hear?"
"Of course the truth."
"Yes. Change it. It sucks."
The boy stops and looks at me without expressiveness in his face.
I can tell he is reasoning about my words, and shortly afterward he nods.
"Would you help me with the idea of the new costume?"
My smile widens a lot, and so I start talking without stopping.

"Absolutely! Oh my God I have a lot of ideas for you. Like you could make it like yours that is split, however simply two colors. Like blue and red! I mean blue and red look great together! Look at Spider-Man. Or something all blue and a red belt..."
Shoto stares at me with his face resting on his hand and a small smile on his face.
"What?" I ask him, bowing my head slightly.
"Nothing. I was just noticing how beautiful you have become."

At his words my cheeks turn the color of the uniform tie, and he probably realizes what he said, too, because he is in the same situation as me.
"Thank you Icyhot. You are also very handsome." I reply to him.
The hand with which he was holding his face is now on the table beside the tray.

I notice that he is also looking at my hand so I slowly bring it closer to his.
My blush only grows as I am almost touching his fingers.
Why am I reacting like this now? This is not the first time I've held his hand or hugged him!
Pull yourself together Mei!

My heart is exploding against my chest, almost convinced that he feels it too.
I'm about to take his hand....

"THE SIREN!"
What the heck!
